Sooooo best get started with my very first scrapbook page I’m going to blog about. I was miles behind with my Christmas scrapping this year. Mainly because I was still using up photos from my 30th birthday (sob) trip to New York and New Jersey.
I decided after being inspired on Instagram to buy a fab Christmas paper kit by Bella Boulevard. When not ordering from the US I usually order my products from a fab UK based site called Craftie Charlie – www.craftie-charlie.co.uk They have a wide range of products including all the amazing American brands which are so hard to come by over here or quite costly to ship.
I ordered The Christmas Cheer collection which is so bright and colourful.
I couldn’t wait to get started and I had an idea using my Silhouette Cameo. I was so lucky that my lovely hubby bought me one of these fabulous products as a present. It allows me to cut out a variety of shapes and phrases for my pages that I would have never managed before.
Using one of the free snowflake cutfiles I got with the Cameo I cut out a number using the some of the cardstock from the paper pack. This is what I had to play with:
I then arranged these on the top half of the page. I’d picked a gorgeous picture of my gremlin from Christmas and using the Bella Boulevard stickers and accessories that came in the pack the end result was on its way!
Other materials used – “our” Thicker from the Maggie Holmes Open Book Collection. A teeny bit of Amy Tangerine, Plus One (a line of cameras), 1 blue Dovecraft doily, a label from Echo Park, A Beautiful Life Collection and a Studio Calico wood arrow veneer.
I added some journalling to the left hand side, very basic – “one of the most gorgeous Christmas photos ever”.
This was the end result!
Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed reading the post!!
