My Week at a Glance #5

My Week at a Glance #5
It’s been 5 weeks now! Five weeks I have been linking up with my week at a glance. So my lovelies what have we been up to this week?

This week started with a gym session and a busy Saturday of tag teaming with hubby to get some bits done. Hubby took her out in the garden to do some potting whilst I had a quick clean up. Sunday was my oldest friend’s little girl’s 1st birthday. This was lovely. The gremlin was a bit shy at first but soon warmed up. And who doesn’t love a bit of champers on a Sunday pm? (Me that is, not the toddler). She went insane for a bit of birthday cake and was hankering after more for ages.

The weather has been lush all week so we managed to get out in the garden on my day off on Monday. She slept like a trooper that afternoon; I was actually hoping she would wake up so we could go out!

I took the monster to Toys R Us on Wednesday (blog post to follow) and we bumped into her little friend (and my work bud). There were a few tantrums when they were pulled out of the playhouses and we casually forget they weren’t meant to be sliding down the slides in the shop!

We then had a second date that afternoon and took them swimming. I was really proud of the gremlin as she was happy to float around on her own with her armbands. She fell in the pool a few times (I’m not joking either) which scared her a bit and I almost died laughing as her face was priceless (between my hysterics I knew she was fine!!)

I ended up in London at the end of the week for a metabolics conference, channeling my inner biochemistry geek. The free food was good too!

This looks like a great week too. We used to get caught on the slides a lot in Toys R Us and to make it worse my sister worked there, she used to beg me not to go haha! Awww it sounds like she was fab at swimming, it's great that the slipping over hasn't put her off. Here's to another good one next week xx
