The Wonder Garden Book – REVIEW

AD – The Wonder Garden is an incredibly illustrated book, written by Jenny Broom, artwork by Kristjana S Williams. It takes you on a journey through nature, taking you through 5 habitats to discover 80 animals.

I did have a feeling my gremlin would be a little young for this yet but perfect when she getting ready for school and wanting to learn more about nature and the world.

We do try and get out and about with Nature and often hit local National Trusts, so I’m hoping her interest will continue to grow as she gets older.

Our Thoughts on The Wonder Garden Book

Wonder Garden book

When I was sent this book to review I had to do a double take. It is just stunning. I have never seen such amazing illustration. It is like something from an art gallery.

As described the book takes you through various natural habitats such as the Amazon Rainforest, The Great Barrier Reef and The Himalayan Mountains.  It packs in tonnes of facts and figures and introduces you to the creatures you may find in each place.

I thought the book was a little old for my girlie who is 2. She could look at the pictures and we could identify some of the animals. My husband was the most impressed and I caught him having a good read, now and then. It is definitely something we will save for the future.

For any animal loving children, or those who simply want to learn this book would be a fabulous present and worth a read. It is so beautifully illustrated and really gives an insight into the habitats across the world.

Thumbs up!

What a beautiful looking book. The illustrations look really detailed, like one of those where everytime you look at it you spot something you missed last time 🙂
