It has been mental since Christmas. Mental. I started a new job In January and now I’m doing 1/2 a day’s private dietetic work which I am loving. It has started slow but I’m hoping will grow and thrive in the months to come.
We are also house hunting and selling our house. Anyone who has gone through this process will know how all consuming and stressful it can be. I will write more when there is more to tell.
It has been a mad start to 2016 to say the least.
So at the weekend we knew we needed to get out and have a day away. I have felt like I have been neglecting the gremlin a bit. She has been more whiny, clambering for attention and telling us to “shush” and “stop talking” a lot! Get the hint parents.
We decided to meet up with Caroline from Becoming a Stay and Home MumΒ and her lovely family at a National Trust place called Stowe. It was just what we needed.
Fresh air, time as a family and with friends, some beautiful scenery and gardens and a lovely lunch at the cafe (always a winner).
Here are some of our pictures:

The countryside is breathtaking to say the least. If I were to show you a picture of our surroundings it would be nothing but snow. I am going to attempt to take them sledding sometime this week as we are getting another snow front coming in tomorrow night. Sometimes you just have to get them out of the house regardless of the weather. Thanks so much for hostessing #bestandworst.
