Trolley Bags – **REVIEW*

girl with trolley bags

AD – I always forget bags when I go food shopping. Or I don’t have enough and I have to buy a few. Happens all the time. Drives me a tad insane and now I have a cupboard in the utility full of carriers!!! I was perusing Twitter a while back and saw a request to review some Trolley Bags. I first thought “you unbelievable nerd why do you want to review those?” Then I looked at them closely and thought they would be brilliant for food shopping.

More About Trolley Bags

trolley bags

Years of working at Tesco and packing bags meant I liked a system to my bag packing and often the small carriers don’t allow for my system! Trolley bags are big and robust, with loads of space.

I was going on a big shop with the gremlin when I tried out my bags for the first time. Hubby had already used them and advised me to put them at the end of the trolley at first, load up the trolley with food as usual and then set them up when checking out.

And this is what we did. The gremlin was really good for me and we had a giggle filling the trolley. She did manage to con me out of some sparkly shoes, some PJs, two books and a new purple cup!!

We reached the checkout and I unloaded our goodies and set up the bags. This is really easy as they are attached together with velcro so you can put all 4 along the top of the trolley in one swift move!

Note – if you have a stinker like me she will try and pull all the velcro apart!!! Quite easy to sort however.

The best bit was going through the checkout. You know in Aldi where they throw the food at you at 100mph and you bung it all in the trolley in a complete mess and sort at the end of the shop?? Well the only thing that is the same was my speedy packing! I had a bag for cold, one for fruit and veg and another for tins etc. I could pack up so quickly and no annoying carriers to fumble with, delaying the process.

Then you get to the car and only have 3-4 bags to deal with to shove in the boot and unload when you get home. Plus it is organised and ready to unpack. Genius.

I was so impressed with these bags. They were easy to carry and organise and made my check out experience a breeze!! I will not be forgetting them on the food shop in future.

Definitely worth the pennies.

We have these and they are brilliant and as you say you beat the cashier and can leave Aldi smugly with other shoppers peering at you in wonder.

These look brill and would nearly make me want to go to a supermarket! (Only nearly though – for now it’s still online for me with the Tots) I would love to be able to pack so quickly though, I could have like a little race with the checkout assistant haha.

I’ve just died and gone to organisation heaven. Praise the trolley bag gods. I’ve lost count the number of times I’ve forgotten my shopping bags (OK every time) and the number of times my husband has exclaimed (£2 for a shopping bag) but it’s limited edition I retort.

So these are just perfect. Who is going to forget these like rainbow lovelies? Plus I love a good check out organisation. Things for the fridge, things for the cupboard, things I don’t want Daddy to see I bought on the food card :0). I’m getting some right now. Renee @peonieandme #bestandworst X

I’m the same as you, I always forget to bring bags every time we go shopping and end up buying more… Have seen these bags before but not thought of buying one. However, looking at your pics and reading your review, I think it’s all worth it. #bestandworst

These trolley bags really do fabulous. I could have done with these when I used to go shopping especially as we live in a three story house and have to carry all the plastic bags up the stairs. I now do my shopping on line and still have to carry it up the stairs but bow I just carry it up in the crates instead. If I still left the house to go shopping though, I would definately get these. They look like a God send.

Oh I saw these the other week.. think they are a great idea. But my cupboard is currently worth about a million pounds in 5p 10p and 45p carrier bags which I WILL remember to take out and re-use lol THEN I’ll probably just buy one of these (until I forget to put it back in the car for the next shop haha) seriously though, I think this looks just up my street. #bestandworst

I NEED THESE IN MY LIFE. Been trying to procure myself some for a while now but been unsuccessful, they seem to be out of stock whenever I go to buy them! #bestandworst

Those look really handy, but unless I kept them in my truck I’m afraid they would just add to all the other bags in the closet #bestandworst

First I thought “erm, trolley bags” and then I was like “Uhhhh, TROLLEY BAGS!” these actully look great. We are not using over car at the moment, but when it’s back on the road and we need to go for bigger shops I’ll look at these, as they seem great. Thanks for sharing #bestandworst

I hate lugging a million grocery bags up to my house so like that these are nice and big! Though I always forget to bring my own bags so these would probably be no exception! :/

I’ve seen these a day they look great – the only thing is I go to the supermarket on foot with the pushchair so they wouldn’t work for us… #bestandworst

These are my idea of organisation heaven! I’ve tried doing a similar thing with my trusty old bags for life, but no such luck! I see quite a few people with them now, so I feel it’s less nerdy right?! x Thanks for hosting #bestandworst
