Bumpbix Pregnancy Cookies – **REVIEW**

bumpbix pregnancy cookie

AD – Food is my life. This is always the case whether I am pregnant or not but I love planning what to eat and always have a snack and a drink on me. Hangry Sarah is not a good thing. So when I was contacted to review some cookies designed for pregnant mamas I didn’t have to think twice. Bumpbix pregnancy cookies have been designed for pregnant ladies who need a quick, tasty snack on the go. Pregnancy is full of cravings and quite often for a sweet treat and these cookies hit that urge as well. In the first trimester of pregnancy I couldn’t fill myself up at all and was always hungry. In the last trimester you need an extra 200kcals a day so good nutrition is important.

More About Bumpbix Pregnancy Cookies

bumpbix pregnancy cookies

These cookies contain wheat germ, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, gingers, almond butter and some dark chocolate chips, making them a source of fibre, protein and some well-needed nutrients like folate and iron.

Each cookie contains 240kcals, 11g of sugar and and 14g of fat. They are very similar to some cereal bars in terms of calories and sugar but do have a higher fat content. This will be due to the butter and seeds. However there is 5g of protein and 3.5g of fibre per cookie so this will help with making you feel a bit fuller.

I like the way they are individually wrapped for freshness but also, you only feel the need to have one. As with everything portion size is everything!

So what was my verdict?

In fact what was the verdict of the whole family, as we all tried some?

Really tasty! The ginger came through as well as a slight taste of cinnamon. They are not really sweet and not sickly at all which I think is helped by the dark chocolate. They were soft and easy to break and went really well with a cup of tea. I had to almost pin my daughter down to stop her scoffing my bits. I will be hiding the rest of the box in the cupboard away from her greedy, gremlin hands.

I will be taking the rest of these to work to have post lunch or as my mid-afternoon snack for my final 5 weeks. They were very tasty and nice and filling.

So pregnant mamas if you want to try something that bit different, tasty and with some nutritional benefits, definitely worth a try.

Disclosure – we were sent a box of Bumpbix pregnancy cookies to review for free. All thought and opinions are my own.

We currently have these too and they are lovely aren’t they? I think any tasty and healthy snack you can grab in pregnancy is fab, especially when you already have children to be distracted by. #twinklytuesday

Those biccies look so tasty! I had gestational diabetes in both pregnancies so the only biscuits I could eat without pushing my sugars up were Belvita breakfast biscuits, the plain ones and rich tea biscuits.. Even then I was only allowed 1-2… They were sad times 🙁 I’ve made up for them now, pigged out recently on some but now I’m trying to be healthier I gotta cut them out again haha! A never-ending cycle. #TwinklyTuesday
