Tiger Stores – Shopping Heaven!

Tiger Stores – Shopping Heaven!

AD – Have you been to a Tiger stores before? I hadn’t until my friend dragged me into our Solihull one and I was hooked. I would describe it as a place that sells kind of everything really. You can buy kitchenware, kids toys, party gear, stuff for the home, sweets. I think the word I am looking for to describe the store is eclectic! The goods are quirky, bright and colourful and soooo reasonably priced.  The stores are not too big but trust me….a quick browse and you WILL part with money for some good stuff.

Tiger originated in Denmark and has stores all over Europe and in Japan with 652 Tiger stores in total.

When I received an invite to visit one of the new Tiger stores that had opened in Selfridges in the Bull Ring, Birmingham, I was so excited I took a half day at work. I was given £35 to spend (which I knew would get me a good stash).

I decided to take the train in from work and go for a cheeky alone scone and cuppa before heading over to the store. I was greeted by some very friendly staff, who handed a salivating me a basket and gave me free reign to shop. I took a good few pictures to show you some of the products.

I must have lapped the store about 3 times umming and erring and making sure I was getting a really good selection.

My basket started to fill up and I was amazed how any products I was getting for my budget.

So what did I get?

I categorised my stash:

Storage – I bought a cool suitcase I’m going to use for toiletries in bedroom and a shopping basket I may use for crafting gear (or the gremlin will probably nick it!)

Home  – I couldn’t resist some fairy lights and a matching blanket (see pic below) but they looks great in my lounge as inject a bit more colour!

Kitchen – I decided we needed a cheese slicer as I am rubbish at slicing it with a knife. I also got some plastic reusable straws, as since we have an ice machine on our fridge I have to drink with a straw!! However, feeling a bit bad with the waste of disposable ones.

The gremlin  – I bought her a stick ball set (though me and hubby may use it), an ABC poster for her wall and a milk bottle for her morning milk after brekkie (which she loves).

Sweets –  some jelly beans….well you just kind of have to eh?

Misc  – a selfie stick! I have wanted one for ages and this one is so easy to use, as plugs into your phone. No battery, no bluetooth…easy peasy!

This was all for £35. I was determined to get products I would use and so far so good. We are using them!

I had a lovely shopping trip. The store is located next to Cath Kidson in Selfridges, The Bull Ring if you are ever nearby  and sells some very tempting stuff.

I need to make sure I stay away or the purse will be coming out!

Disclosure – I was provided with £35 to spend in Tiger for a review and post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tiger is the best and we don’t have one in Leeds which is just the worst. I have to make do with my mum sending me little Tiger parcels.
