This is the first year I think the gremlin will be really keen and understand what it is all about. She has been watching Shrek’s spooky stories on Netflix and is hooked. This year we will be going to a hotel event and she can dress up. I find Halloween odd as it really has blown up in the last few years. I never really dressed up, did pumpkins or went trick or treating as a child. Now it seems more Americanised and normal!

In previous years I have just shoved a costume on her and she has looked funny! It is all about parent amusement when they are babies isn’t it?

Excuse the pic quality below but you get the gyst!

We haven’t always even dressed her up. Last year hubby and I did some pumpkin carving and had a little Halloween Party with her. She was more interested in the biscuits and we don’t think she understood what it was all about.

This year she will be picking her own costume and maybe even Mummy will be dressing up too. I know she will be very particular to what she wants. So far it is a pumpkin, as Piglet has a pumpkin baby grow and she wants one too!

Smiffys have produced a fab infographic on costume safety; whether you are buying one or making your own. There are tips for fire safety, trick or treating and parties.

See below.

Are you into Halloween? If so what have you got planned?
