Aquadoodle **REVIEW**

I’m not good with lots of mess but for the sake of my daughter, I try and get over this. She does go to nursery two days a week and can be as messy as she likes but at home it is harder. If she asks to paint or do Play Doh, I do oblige but tidying up is never fun afterwards!  When I was contacted recently to host an Aquadoodle Party and receive some Aquadoodle goodies, I was sold. We have used these in the past but I was keen for the gremlin to have a fresh one and as we received two Aquadoodle Super Colour Deluxe Mats, her little sister can have the other in the next 18 months.

Aquadoodle is drawing without mess. It can be used anywhere and involves colourful water drawing. You can create some fab pieces of art, using a pen or stamps and water. There is no spillages or paint or pen everywhere but still colour and plenty of fun. The pen is filled with water and when applied to the large mat a drawing is created. You also are provided with a little tray and small piece of fabric to soak in water and stamps can be used on the mat. The mat dries after use or between goes and you are ready to doodle again. It is suitable for children 18 months and older and my one word to describe it is Entertaining.

Last weekend we had a small Aquadoodle party. If you nosey on Twitter or Instagram for the #aquadoodleparty you can see some of the other parties going on! In the pack we received some balloons and snacks which got us in the party mood. My daughter, hubby and my brother were engrossed. We found for adults, having an Aquadoodle is quite therapeutic!

We also received some Aquadoodle Peppa Pig Mini Mats which the gremlin loved. These are pictures of scenes from Peppa Pig and you use the pens to “colour” in part of the design using water. Really good fun.

I was completely happy for my daughter, who is now 3, to be left alone with the Aquadoodle in our lounge. As it uses water, even any splashes, which there were minimal, are fine. She loved it and was getting really creative and painting her hands and feet in water to make shapes. Her favourite thing to do was colour the entire mat in. It is really hard to find products that keep young children entertained for long but this really did and my daughter loved it. I also like that we can do it together as an activity.

The Aquadoodle is a perfect gift for Christmas for mess-free fun. It kept my daughter busy for a long time and with winter on the way and possibly more house-time, it is brilliant! If you are slightly shaky over Play Doh dug into your carpet or paint up the wall, get Aquadoodling.

I think our pack will be getting a lot of use!

Disclosure – we were sent the Aquadoodle pack free of charge in exchange for a review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

I’ve heard of aquadoodle but never actually used one. It looks great. My toddler would love it, I’m sure. She loves mark making and this looks like a lovely way to do it #TwinklyTuesday
