Baking and Chocolate Gifts with what2buy4kids **REVIEW**

My gremlin is a total chocolate lover. She gets bought bits and pieces but we often end up eating it sneakily behind her back.

She is hitting the age now where I don’t have a clue what to buy for her as a present and I am always on the hunt for some inspiration.

When I was offered some chocolate, baking gifts from what2buy4kids which combined presents and my gremlin’s love of chocolate, I was sold!

This website is designed to really help you out when buying gifts for boys and girls of all ages and there is so much choice. They were recently described as “The Toy Shop that cares” by a customer, which is amazing feedback. The website is very easy to navigate to find gifts recommended for specific ages.

So what did my lucky girl get?

Product 1 – Bumblebee Chocolate Lolly Making Kit

The gremlin was so thrilled to receive her goodies and one miserable Saturday we opened the first chocolate making kit: a bumblebee chocolate lolly making kit. What was lovely, was she was so keen to make the lollies as presents for others. This kit currently is retailing at £7.99 which is very reasonable.

The kit was really easy. Chocolate buttons were provided and careful instructions on how to melt it (I needed this as blatantly would have burnt it otherwise!).

You then simply dollop the chocolate to make individual lollies on the bumblebee transfers sheet and put in the fridge. The bees stick to the chocolate and they look really professional.

The kit comes with some lovely packaging for each lolly and you can give them away as gifts or scoff them yourself!

There were delicious and really easy to make, even for me! We have given a couple away as presents and they have gone down well.

Product 2 – Chocolate Pizza Kit

The second chocolate related gift we were sent was a make your own chocolate pizza kit retailing at £12.99. We had a slight dilemma here as the weather got really hot a couple of weeks ago and we had to wait to make it for fear of creating a melted sludge. The gremlin was very excited and on a cooler Saturday pm we made the pizza!

It was really simple to make.

Melt the chocolate buttons and add to the pizza tray.

Then decorate withe chocolate beans, jelly beans and white chocolate. Try not to eat all in the process.

Set in fridge, taking out a little earlier to cut up! Et Voila.

This was a lovely thing to do with the gremlin. I must say it didn’t take too long but she loved it and it would be fun to do with your little one as a gift for someone else. The chocolate was delicious!

Product 3 – Little Pals Pink Cupcake Baking Set

This cupcake kit would make a lovely gift for a keen baker. This retails at £15.99 so is a little pricey but I couldn’t deny was very cute.

The kit comes with a mixing bowl, spatula, 4 cupcake holders, a recipe and an frosting applicator (not sure of the official name!) The spatula is nice and chunky and means kids can really get involved. The plastic bowl is also a good idea as every kid will spill everywhere at some point!

We were all set to actually do some baking after making the pizza but the gremlin had other ideas. She wanted to use it in her kitchen for a make believe game.

The actual baking will come another day!

I was really impressed with all the gifts we reviewed. I has really given me some ideas of things to buy for friend’s little ones in the future.

I will be checking the website out again too and I recommend you do as well.

Disclosure – we were provided with these three items free of charge in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

The baking set looks fantastic and I’m sure if you don’t use it for cooking you can use it with play dough. #bestandworst
