**GIFT GUIDE** – What to get the Man in your Life for Christmas

**GIFT GUIDE** – What to get the Man in your Life for Christmas

I was watching The Sopranos last night and heard Christmas get described as “stress-mas”. This made me smile at lot, as it can feel like that when trying to pick a gift or gifts for my husband!

I never tend to get him any surprises unless it’s a dead cert. Usually he is pretty good and gives me plenty of ideas but some help and inspiration is always well received.

Each of these presents have been approved by my husband apart from a few surprises. I hope they give you some ideas for the man in your life.

1) The Next Base 312GW Dash Cam

Hubby is always a bit worried when driving that something could happen and we would have no proof of whose fault it was. It is a very real worry nowadays and I also think he watches too many crash videos on social media!! To help avoid this a The Next Base 312 Dash Cam would be perfect for him.

There is in built Wi-fi allowing you to download any footage to a smartphone to share with others or an insurer. These are the specifics from online:

  • 140 degree wide angle view with full 1080p High Definition recording at 30fps
  • Ultra clear 2.7” LED display for ease of playback and menu selection
  • Six-Element Sharp Lenses made with 6 layers of glass to provide stunning clear images
  • Inbuilt G sensor to record force data
  • SOS data protection prevents the impact/event recording from being deleted
  • Easy to install with 4m 12v power cable and Click & Go window mount included
  • Supports SDHC Micro SD cards up to 32GB

It would certainly put my hubby’s mind at ease and currently retails at £99.99.

2) The House of Marley Positive Vibration 2 Wireless on ear Headphones

With kids in the house sometimes it is so hard to get a bit of peace and quiet and there is some escaping often required. What better idea than some stylish wireless headphones, perfect for watching shows or listening to your favourite tunes?

3) The Next Base ADAPT DAB 250

Does you man love music? We always tend to have something on in the car and hubby sometimes likes the radio if he has to do a long drive. I adore my digital radio in the kitchen and have it one permanently. Neither of our cars have digital radio so a device that allows us to have digital in the car is brilliant.

This is was the Next Base ADAPT DAB 250 comes in handy. This lets you enjoy your favourite DAB stations in your car. It wirelessly sends the audio straight to the existing car radio, via the FM transmitter. It comes complete with an active film antenna which is easily fitted into the windscreen. It has a clear LCD screen and the DAB channels are stored for later listening.  It also has an in built battery, perfect for stop-start vehicles. A real nifty gadget, which currently retails at £99.

4) Speyburn 15 Years Old Single Malt

Hubby does like a whiskey now and then so Speyburn’s 15 Year Old Single Malt is a lovely treat for him.

As quoted:

“The distinctive amber liquid with golden highlights, has the aroma of subtle dark chocolate, vanilla, orange, raisins and spice. The rich taste is bursting, with notes of citrus fruits and has a creamy, warm and long-lasting finish.”

It is 46% ABV and the RRP is £60.

We received a sample and the aroma is incredible; it just oozes Christmas.

5) A Dobell Forest Green Small Check Tweed Tailored Fit Jacket

Hubby does love his jackets and blazers so this lovely tweed jacket from Dobell was right up his street. Dobell provide a vast range of formal ware: tuxedos, suits, trousers and jackets.

The tweed jacket is dark green and made of a wool blend. It has a notch label and a tailored fit. It is single breasted and dry clean only.

There is a double vented back and jetted pockets with flaps and 4 button cuffs. It looks amazing on hubby and is so soft. A really lovely buy..

The RRP is £99.99 but at time this was published it is half price a £49.99.

6) The Gtech HTO5 Hedge Trimmer

My hubby is a very keen gardener so for him anything gardening is a good present. In our old house, the hedge rarely got trimmed but this is where the Gtech HTO5 Hedge Trimmer would make life so much easier.

It has a high-performance 14.4V motor and delivers 45 mins work from 1 x 3 hour charge. The trimmer has a 1.7m reach so you can reach the top of hedges 10ft tall. My husband loves both sprouts and chocolate. He also has a great sense of humour so chocolate sprouts would be a Christmas gift made in heaven for him.

11) A Wind Proof Lighter and Hipflask from Zippo

Even though neither of us smoke we use a lighter quite frequently. Hubby also burns garden waste and confidential waste quite often in the garden. He always loves the idea of a hipflask; you never know when you may need to sneak some booze when it’s really expensive to buy it!!

This windproof lighter from Zippo comes in a range of colours and designs. They have a lifetime guarantee. They come unfilled, so you will need to purchase some lighter fluid. They currently retail at £28.65.

Thanks for sharing these ideas. I have never thought of giving someone a Hedge Trimmer… or chainsaw. But that sake set is dope.
