Scrapping – Hey Friends

Scrapping – Hey Friends
After Christmas I always have a good few Christmas pages to do to use up all my piccys, I was exactly the same as last year; do 1 or 2 pages and I’ve had enough with red, green and gold! Being a bit like a magpie I love my bright colours and shiny things. I’m also trying to be really good and use up all my scrapping stash before getting some new collections. So I dug out my Echo Park Paper Beautiful life Collection. What I love about the big 12×12 paper packs is you can get so many layouts from one. I had bought this at a scrapbooking show in London for a bargain price so this was a bonus.
I’d been having a look on Pinterest and seen some layouts with triangles so I cut out a good few using my guillotine and good old fashioned ruler and scissors – this is what I was left with.
After a good night’s sleep (I never manage to do a page in one night being a super faffer). I then arranged the triangles randomly and glued them down, This gave a bit of a mosiac effect. I’d picked a gorgeous piccy of my friend’s little baby girl and my gremlin, hence the title “Hey Friends”. I layered this with a doily and some pink and blue paper. Then I went to town with some embellishments and used flowers, pegs, buttons and some of the stickers from the Beautiful Life paper pack. I’m not very good at leaving blank spaces on my pages so I ensured all the corners were filled with stickers from the pack.
This was the end result:

Journalling reads – “As the Mummys are such good friends, here’s hoping the babies are too!”
