I Forgot About You

A kick when I am at work, typing merrily away – I forgot about you.

A little wiggle in the middle of the night after I have got up for another wee – I forgot about you.

A flutter when I am watching Eastenders in those last few minutes of peace before bed – I forgot about you.

A giant movement when I am having that quick glass of icy drink in the kitchen – I forgot about you.

The insane punches and flickers that last for ages whilst I am blogging and it is all quiet – I forgot about you.

The little hello kick when I first wake up – I forgot about you.

I just forget I am pregnant sometimes!

Pregnancy second time around is completely different. It is never solely in the forefront of my mind, as it quite was with the gremlin.

I genuinely forget about the little piglet I am growing inside who wriggles so often. Sometimes I am so busy, I don’t even feel it.

So I am trying to sit and savour those wiggles, flutters, kicks, punches and full on body rolls.

I have 9 weeks to go and I’m sure they are going to fly!!!

I think it must be easy to forget being pregnant the second time round, you don’t have time to sit and think, your focus is often on the toddler running around. Nice to realise this though and remind yourself to cherish the moment. #wotw

Not long to go! Congratulations! Lovely post x

You are right, with your first pregnancy you do sit and count almost every kick, but with your second you can be so busy with your other family that you do forget. It’s a nice little reminder when you do feel a kick or a movement again. Definitely do try and slow down a bit and savour it all though, 9 weeks will be over in a flash x #WotW

I was the same, and it feels so daft, like how can you forget when you have this huge bump? But life is so busy you do and then you remember and it’s lovely. Eek not long to go now! So exciting xxx

I found my second to be just the same, whereas it’d been uppermost in my mind all the time with my first. I did love feeling them move, enjoy it x Thanks for sharing with #WotW

Pregnancy second time round is so very different, in my experience too, it’s easy to continue daily life and dealing with a little one without noticing how your body is changing and all the little flutters! But it’s great you’re taking time out to notice. And yes, savour the moments as these 9 weeks will fly by!! #WordofTheWeek

It is different second time round, you don’t focus on it so much because there is another little person running you ragged LOL! The 9 weeks will fly by and then the fun starts LOL

I guess chasing after another little one makes it easier to forgot the little bits of being pregnant. Time is flying by though! #binkylinky

I am the same! I have just over 6 weeks to go and depending on what I’m up to the kicks go unnoticed! Having a moment today where I am counting my blessings and trying to cherish every moment!

I was so pampered by the Mummy the first time around. Can’t imagine being pregnant and chasing after a toddler. Try to remember to take it easy- I worry about you x

I do the same, it’s so completely different this time isn’t it? I’m really enjoying pregnancy but it doesn’t consume every thought as the first one did and I’m savouring the moments with my little boy while he’s still an only child. I have 9 weeks to go too, I’m due on 2nd October! I hope it goes well for you, congratulations! xx

Aw how lovely and exciting. I didn’t really ever forget due to the sickness with all three but I like the sentiment!! Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well, are you ready? #wotw

When your concentration is consumed by other things around you sadly you do forget. Then you get a reassuring kick saying excuse me mummy I’m here. I hear you (or should that be read you?).#WotW
