Siblings Project April

It’s April! My Piglet has passed the 6 month mark. I am thrilled as she is so cute and funny but as always, time is seriously flying.

I think my gremlin has started to struggle a bit this month with being a big sister. Piglet is no longer a boring, boob sucking thing that lies there and sleeps; she is a person. She is adorable. She is eating. She is interacting and she needs her Mummy. The gremlin has therefore been more clingy, more possessive. She acts up when others are giving her sister attention and I have seen a few little sly things being done to Piglet, like snatching toys, little kicks and water being thrown in her face in the bath.

It’s tough but I’m sure in time when Piglet becomes a little more interesting and a little playmate, she will change a little.

Piglet on the other hand ADORES her big sister. In her eyes she can do no wrong. She follows her around, smiles and giggles. She is just generally so excited to see her big sister and it is lovely to see.

The gremlin has been quite helpful as well and when I needed to get a bit done, kept Piglet company so she didn’t get all cross. She also feeds her for me so I can make lunch; usually a bit of yoghurt or something. Really makes a difference!!

I’m loving the sibling bond and still loving having both of my girls.

We are off on holiday next month, so let’s see what fun this brings. I’ll leave you with some of my fave shots from the month.

The Me and Mine Project

Gorge photos as always and it is hard for siblings… even ones 8 years older when suddenly they don’t sleep all the time and are more entertaining!! #thatfridaylinky x

What lovely photos! They really are lovely. My little boy seemed to struggle more when my daughter was born, now that she is more active and wants to play he is happier. He gets more of my attention and that helps, especially when we have our mummy/son day once a month. #ThatFridayLinky

Oh what gorgeous pictures! It is hard for the big sisters when the little ones arrive, particularly in that stage where they need Mama but can’t be useful for playing or mischief – it all comes out in the wash in the end and before you know it they’re ganging up on you!

You’re gorgeous girls! Their relationship does change as they grow doesn’t it? Lovely that Gremlin helps you with her but I can relate to the jealousy when it comes to attention. When the littlest is so cute people can’t help but give her so much attention but I have had to remember to give Monkey more attention or draw people’s attention to him sometimes when I can see he’s feeling pushed out. No idea if that is the right thing to do mind you haha. Love your girls though have to meet up with them soon xxx

Hi, lovely pics as always. It can be tough being a big sister when a little brother or sister is now in the scene needing your attention. It will no doubt disappear soon #thatfridaylinky

These shots are just adorable, they are both so beautiful. It’s funny how adoring the little one always seems to be of the older one, I’m sure time will change that! x

Lovely photos of your gorgeous girlies. I can’t believe that Piglet is 6 months old already! It is a tricky stage when the littlest one is big enough to be interacting and really beginning to have their own little personality but not yet big enough to be a playmate. Lovely that the gremlin has helpful moments with her little sister too though. I love that photo where Piglet is lying on the cushion with the gremlin behind her 🙂 #siblingsproject

It must be such a hard age to be a big sister too as like you say things will inevitably change when they start interacting more but it’s a learning curve for everyone x

They look darling together here what little cuties. I love these. Siblings relationship evolve and change as they grow. It’s great to see but sometimes can be so challenging too. As they get older it gets easier though. #siblingsproject
