Of course I love chocolate! Who doesn’t? But sometimes I feel Easter can be a little chocolate heavy and it is nice to give something else as a gift.
My gremlin is a total chocoholic and of course we give her a small amount but we also give her some other Easter themed gifts. This can be the same with hubby and other members of the family. My Mum loves some flowers.
So I thought I would create an Easter Gift Guide, that is non-chocolate themed for all the family and here is what I picked.
1) A Personalised Easter Bunny Book from Funky Pigeon
The gremlin loves her reading and I can never say no to a book for her. I love the idea of giving her something to read, instead of the some chocolate was perfect.
She was offered this fab personalised Easter Bunny book from Funky Pigeon.
The book is personalised with your little one’s name, which will appear on the cover, title page and within the illustrations. You can also write a personal gift message that will appear inside the book (80 characters).
The hard cover retails at £17.99 and the soft copy is £12.99.
2) Whizz Pop Bang Kids Science Magazine
My husband loves science and any excuse to get my daughter learning and using her brain! We quite often buy non-Easter themed gifts for her and Whizz Pop Bang Science Magazine looks fab for her.
Some more about the magazine from online, “Whizz Pop Bang is an award-winning UK science magazine that makes science fun and engaging for children aged six to twelve (and their parents, who regularly tell us they love it too!).”
Each month’s magazine is bursting with fascinating facts, hands-on experiments, science news and discoveries, as well as interviews with real scientists to spark those imaginations and help to inspire a love of science.” You can get it from as little as £2.92 a magazine if you subscribe!
Think I will be sneaking this in her Easter basket.
3) Born Wild Tea and Curve Mug Infuser
As the gift guide is for the whole family, I knew my tea loving husband would love some new teas to sample. We were sent some amazing chocolate strawberry tea samples from Born Wild Tea, as well as one of their curve mug infusers. This retails at £14.95.
4) Botonique Drink
I think we all sometimes think we could slack on the alcohol now and then (!) I remember when I was pregnant just not being able to find anything that tastes good, as an alternative.
This is where Botonique may really come in handy! It retails at £6.99 for a bottle and would make a really different, healthier drink for Easter Sunday.
It is a sparking non-alcoholic alternative for those who love wine. There are herbs, spices and citrus, blended with sparkling water and pear juice to give a unique flavour like white win or vermouth.
It contains the 1/6 of the calories of wine with no added sugar, sweeteners, flavours, colours or preservatives.
5) Bunny Jump Game
So back onto the kiddies now, who doesn’t love a game when spending time with the family over the Easter holidays? This is where Bunny Jump by University Games will be perfect. It’s aimed at those 5 and over for 2-5 players.
- The exciting Catch-the-Bunny game.
- Try to collect as many carrots as you can to win the game.
- But, watch out! One of the carrots will make bunny jump into the air.
- Will you catch the Bunny to help win the game?
- A fun and exciting game for kids and family.
It is currently available on Amazon for £15.99
6) Rabbit in a Carrot Toy from Born Gifted
I think Little Piglet was starting to feel a little left out and the perfect little rabbit for her from Born Gifted.
Born Gifted has so many beautiful things for baby gifts, including christenings.
This cute little rabbit is comes zipped up in a little carrot and it retails at £6.99. It would be a perfect little item for an Easter box.
7) Hare Gifts from Cancer Research UK
It’s always lovely to support a charity at any point during the year but when Cancer Research contacted me to see if I would like to feature one of their new hare themed gifts I was keen.
In the range includes cushions, blankets, a door stop and a picture. You can buy online or at your local Cancer Research store and 100% of all the profits go to Cancer Research.
My favourite happens to be the hare door stop which retails at £6.99. It is so cute.
So there you have it. Just a few alternative gifts for Easter this year. A few of these will end up in the girls’ Easter basket and it is nice to have something other than chocolate!
Happy Easter lovelies!
Disclosure – we were provided with samples of these gifts in exchange for a feature. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
