Going More Organic – My Top Tips | AD

going more organic

There are so many organic products available on the market at present and if you are planning on going organic, you will find there are so many benefits of doing so.

I have to admit when writing this I learnt quite a bit, as have not consistently eaten organic foods or used organic products. I did have my eyes opened a little to some of the benefits and easy changes you can make to your life.

Benefits of Going More Organic

There are many benefits to being more organic in your day-to-day life and this includes:

When considering organic food – the produce will contain less pesticides. It may be fresher as contains less preservatives. Organic farming is better for the environment and organically-raised animals are not given any antibiotics or growth hormones.

When considering organic skin products these are better for the environment and will have the same benefits for your skin with less ingredients. They also contain no endocrine-disrupting chemicals such as phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, and parabens.

On the whole it seems less ingredients, better for the environment and just much more natural.

Top Tips

I asked some of my blogger friends to give me some of their top tips for being more organic in their everyday lives and these are some of their tips and ideas:

“I use more organic skincare products than I ever used to. Since having children my skin is more dry and sensitive than it ever was before. I find organic skin products gentler on my skin, and it means I can share products with my kids rather than have 2 lots of everything.” – Kim from Oddhogg.

“There are some high street stores with organic ranges for adults and children (it is usually easier to find child’s). Check out h&m and lindex. Scandinavian countries seem to be better at it than us! Also Frugi is a British company that makes Organic kids clothing.” Becky from The Mummy Adventure.

“Consider using more organic cleaning products, using things you already have like salt, white vinegar and lemon. To get limescale off the bottom of taps, I soak a cloth in vinegar and wrap it around the base of the tap – then the limescale just disappears!” Nikki from The Best Things to Do in York.

“Consider getting an organic fruit/veg box delivered weekly, great for eating more of what is in season and more local produce.” Laura from Mummy Lauretta.

“Supporting local farm shops and buying fresh produce from these place. You know where the items have come from and are supporting local farmers and business, win, win!” Helen from Blogging Beautifully.

If you want to start trying to be organic with your diet, skincare regime or clothes, there are so many easy ways to do so. Small changes, shopping locally and looking for farm shops are all good ways.

Good luck and let me know if you try anything in the comments!
