Maped-Helix Creativ Range – Kid’s Craft Packs – REVIEW | AD

Maped-Helix Creativ Range – Kid’s Craft Packs – REVIEW | AD

I love sitting down and doing crafts with the kids. Now my middle child is a little older she has started to get involved too! We did a lovely project at Christmas and she really got involved with the painting. I also think she is quite good with colouring and crafts too! The hardest thing is making time for crafting. With having the little baby, it means if I am crafting with the girls, my hubby is on baby duty! Always a juggling act! But we do make time now and then and when Maped-Helix sent us some kids crafting packs from the new Maped-Helix Creativ Range, we sat together one Saturday afternoon and did some crafting and colouring!

What Did we Receive from the Maped-Helix Creativ Range?

Maped have launched a new Creativ range for kids – Maped Creativ.  These are aimed at those aged 4 and over and prices start at around £5.99. We were sent some products from this new range. Customers can choose from 14 different boxes spanning three categories; Mini Box, Color & Play and Board Activities.  Each one contains a different, fun activity for little ones to enjoy while learning, and comes complete with a themed activity, stationery and simple instructions.

We received three Creativ craft boxes from Maped. The first was a little money box maker, one of the Mini Box Makers. Colouring and some assembly.

The second product was a sticker mosaic maker – another from the Mini Box range.

The third product was a jigsaw maker – you coloured in the pictures and had your very own jigsaw after. This is one of the Color and Play products.

Crafting with the  Creativ Products

We opening all three boxes and got stuck in!

My eldest and I started with the mosaic making, whilst my middle child (who is 3) started colouring the money box, before assembly.

As you can see my eldest got really stuck in and was bopping along to her music, as she made her mosaic hat! I was making some glasses! It was really easy, as you had colour coded squares so knew what square sticker to put on your design.

The money box maker came with a good set of vibrant felt tip pens too for colouring it in.

We finished our mosaics and my middle child had a good go at colouring in her money box. I was quite impressed with her only being 3, a little younger than recommended. We just needed to add the arms onto her box.

We then all opened the Color and Play box and started colouring in some jigsaws! This was really therapeutic! I quite like colouring in when I have the time and my eldest has really improved with hers. She used to be a little all over the place! Once finished we could break up the pieces to make our jigsaws but actually I didn’t want to!

What Did We Think?

I thought the Maped-Helix Creativ Range was lovely. These craft boxes are perfect for rainy days or kids parties. Little activities that don’t require too much stressing or prepping from the parents either! I think as busy parents we want to be more crafty with our children but often don’t know where to start or get a little worried when looking on Pinterest!

The Creativ craft boxes from Maped-Helix take all the pressure away and are also lovely activities to do with your children too. I really enjoyed sitting with them and doing colouring! No screen-time, chats and very therapeutic!

They were very easy to do. There were simple instructions but I think I didn’t need to look, as very easy. The kids really enjoyed and we had some fun together. I like how we had something they would keep afterwards; a money box and a jigsaw.

I would recommend these products.

These look like ideal kits to have a round the house. A little more fun than the pens and paper which is popular in our house.

Think mine would love these x

These are lovely, its so nice to sit down and do something as a family. I am not a huge fan of crafts, the mess drives me mad lol I like outdoors activities where the mess is created somewhere else
