Kid’s Gift Ideas for Christmas | AD

LOL Surprise OMG Remix Doll

My kid’s are already so excited for Christmas as I write this post! They have both started writing Christmas lists and searching through catalogues circling what they would like, just like me. I have kids in quite a wide age range of almost 2 to 7 years old but my girls both play with similar things now and my little man isn’t getting that much anyway! He’s still at that age where he doesn’t understand and can be completely happy with one toy. Plus I know he will be well into anything the girls get and I’m expecting a few tantrums on Christmas morning. So my kid’s gift ideas for Christmas this year is quite a mix to suit them all.

So without further ado, here are some lovely ideas for the kids and I’m pretty excited to see their faces for some of these on Christmas Day!

You may also like my Rainbow Gift Guide for Christmas for some kid’s ideas!

For My 2 Year Old

Now I feel a bit mean as he’s only got a couple of things in this guide BUT this reflects what he will be receiving. As he’s only 2, too much means he is just completely overwhelmed!!

Super Wings World Aircraft

I knew my little man would love the Super Wings World Aircraft. It is aimed at children aged 3 years and over but I know this won’t matter. It currently retails at £29.99 and is available from Smyths Toys.

As specified online at Smyths, this fab product:

  • Includes 5cm Jett Transform a Bot character
  • World Aircraft Playset from Season 4 of the hit pre-school show Super Wings
  • Use the handle to fly the aircraft through the skies, or the real working wheels to glide the playset across the ground
  • Press the button to activate Jett’s package delivery
  • Take the lift to the take-off platform
  • Press the trigger on the handle to release the runway ready for take-off!
  • Complete with lights & sound effects
  • Compatible with all Super Wings Transform a Bot figures

I know my little man will be so excited to get his hands on this come Christmas morning.

Cat Junior Crew Construction Vehicles

My little man is a huge fan of anything the moves; so cars, buses, diggers…you name it he loves it. Earlier on we got to review some fabulous vehicles from the Cat Junior Crew Construction Range. You can read the full review here.

All are aimed at children aged 2 years and over.  All the products make the unique Kid-Vroom Sounds™ and sound like your child is making them!  They are also designed to boost your child’s curiosity, develop their fine motor skills and help them to learn about cause and effect!

We were sent 3 items from the range, including the Power Track and the Construction Buddies Dump Truck and both were such fun. I can’t wait for my little man to have this Christmas.

Stickman Tonie for Tonie-Box

My girls and now little man love their Tonie Box.  You can read my full review here, as we were lucky to get one last year.

A Toniebox is an audio player that allows children to listen to both music, factual content and stories. Perfect for lovely screen-free story-telling this Christmas. You play different Tonies on top of your Toniebox and it recognises who is standing on top and downloads the story from the Toniecloud. The Toniebox will turn solid green on top and your story will have fully downloaded and is ready to play anywhere, without Wi-Fi. connection! This would be perfect for the car, travelling or simply in a place without Wi-Fi.

We were lucky this year to receive a Stick Man Tonie to put on top of our box! Tonies usually retail at £14.99 and can be found online or in John Lewis.

Christmas Puzzle from Jaques

My middley is quite a jigsaw lover and I thought this Christmas Day puzzle from Jaques would be perfect for her Christmas Eve box this year.

It’s 50 pieces which is perfect for her at 4 years old and is a great price currently at £5.99.

The image is bright and beautiful and is made from top grade jigsaw cardboard.

Asda Matching Pairs

My middley loves a game of matching pairs. It is one of her fave games to play and she does have a kit. However, when I was offered a set using personalised photographs from Asda Photo, I knew she would love that.

The pairs game retails at £15 and you get 25 pairs and each card size: 2×2.5″ (5×6.5cm). It’s really cool seeing all your mini photos and will be great fun matching them up.

Asda photo pairs game

Asda Photo offer a wide range of gift ideas including personalised jigsaws, keyring, money boxes and glitter domes, so check out for sure!

Og, by Joanne Hutchinson

My girls both love a bedtime story. My eldest still enjoys and will then go and do a bit of her own reading afterwards. So I knew a story would be lovely for their Christmas presents.

We were kindly sent Og, by Joanne Hutchinson.

Capture the magic of story time with Og, and discover what happens when an Ogre’s enchanting love of books takes him on an adventure, where he becomes the hero in the most unexpected way. The book is beautifully illustrated and written in rhyme.

‘Og’ by Joanne Hutchinson retails at £6.99 and is available to buy from Amazon, Waterstones and www.joannehutchinson.co.uk

It’s Your Story

To now combining the two above ideas into one – a personalised story book, which I know my middley will absolutely love.

It’s Your Story creates personalised books for children and they include their name, their photo and personal details about where they live and their friends. We chose the snowman story, perfect for Christmas.

This was very easy to create! Here are some more details as online:

  • Personalisation: The child’s name, first line of address, town/village where they live and the name of a friend is included in the story. A personal message from the sender to the child is included at the front of the book.
  • Quality: 32-page perfect-bound book with full-colour gloss cover.
  • Size: 21 x 28 cm
  • Binding: Available in paperback (£19.50) or hardback (£22.00)

You can see on the image below I’ve taken my daughter’s name off, as don’t share on the blog but would normally say (your child’s Snowman).

Peter Rabbit Pillow from Enseco

My middley in particular is quite a fan of Peter Rabbit. She has some card games she loves and of course loves the story.

Both my girls are also huge pillow and cushions fans; in fact anything that you can snuggle up with. They are real creatures of comfort. I knew a gorgeous Peter Rabbit Cushion from Enesco. This cushion is covered in a super-soft velvet like fabric, making them extremely tactile and snuggly, perfect for my kids. Completed with intricate embroidery and applique detail, this Peter Rabbit Cushion shows the famous rabbit wearing his iconic blue jacket. It’s lovely! Currently retailing at £15, I know my daughter will love.

Enesco have a lovely range of gifts, including their Beatrix Potter range.

You can play games with your Pup, snuggle with it, play and have loads of fun. The Pups are completely adorable and will definitely make your little ones feel like they have a real little puppy this Christmas.

Duelling Rockets from Stomp Rocket

I think my husband was more exciting when these Duelling Rockets turned up from Stomp Rocket!

You battle for the title of strongest stomper with Stomp Rocket® Duelling Rockets. This set comes with two launch pads so friends can face off simultaneously, sending their rockets up into the air! The rockets can get as high as 200 feet!

I’m dying for the kids to have a go with these!

Stomp Rocket® is available from John Lewis, Hamleys, Toymaster and Amazon. It currently retails at £21.17.

Haribo Sweet Medley

My girls are both huge fans of Haribo and I think Christmas isn’t Christmas without a Haribo gift! However, I’d have to say my eldest loves her sweets more! This amazing HARIBO Sweet Medley would really suit a die hard Haribo fan like her!

Perfect for sharing amongst friends and family (I’ll be giving to both girls), this gift includes a handy tray to offer out a delicious mix of sweets including Starmix, Tangfastics, Supermix, Giant Strawbs, Jelly Babies Double Trouble and Jelly Beans. I know my girls will be dying to open it on Christmas morning!

A Onesie from Kigurumi.com

Which kids don’t love a onesie? My eldest loves getting one most Christmas’s and you can find some amazing ones from Kigurumi.com.

These are funny animal costumes and this was a tradition that originated in Japan. The Kigurumi from Kigurumi.com are made by the most reputable company in Asia. The level of detail put into faces, ears and tails makes them memorable and unique. They are made from super-soft materials and just so comfy!

This Pokemon, being a cow or even a shark! There are loads of choices for kids and they look so bright and comfortable!

The Danger Gang by Tom Fletcher

My eldest has really got into reading over the last few months, which is great! She was pretty hard work previously but she has found an author she loves and is plugging through their books nightly!

My aim now is to get her into some different stories and this fab story – the Danger Gang by Tom Fletcher is going to be a must for her reading list. Retailing at £6 and available on Amazon, here are some more details about the story as specified online.

“Franky can’t wait to move to his new town – although he wishes he didn’t have to leave his best friend Dani behind.

But everything changes after the storm, when strange green lightning and powerful thunder crash down on the town. From that night on, the kids who live on Franky’s street start to change. One by one, they become a little odd. A little unusual. A little… magical.

Franky’s always wanted to be part of an amazing gang – just like his hero, super-spy Zack Danger! And soon, he realises that there’s real danger in store for himself and his new friends.”

Sounds great and would make a lovely gift for children who love to read.

The Danger Gang by Tom Fletcher

I’m getting more excited as these guides go live for Christmas! We only have less than a month to go now. I hope they give you some inspiration for your little ones.
