I love being creative with the kids but I know I don’t always do it enough. I can cope with a little bit of mess (honestly). We have done scrapbooking and tissue paper crafts and sometimes we do get the glitter out!! My girls really enjoyed playing with this. They had competitions to do the best picture; one using the chalk and the others the paint sticks. You are meant to attach paper to the board (see the photo above) but my eldest drew directly on it. It was easy to wipe clean with a wet cloth or wet wipe. I liked how you could transport this easily, as it folds down. Good for packing or taking away on trips.

How to use Little Brian Paint Sticks – 5 Creative Ways
Mother’s Day and Easter are approaching which I actually can’t believe really but they are both really good excuses to be creative. We also still have quite a lot of time right now and I am very grateful for anything that can keep the kids busy for a while.
Here are some ideas when using your Little Brian Paint Sticks:
Window Painting
I was a tad nervous about painting the windows but yes they easily wipe clean! I had great fun making rainbows and the girls copied. You can get as creative as you want, knowing full well it doesn’t matter and can be cleaned off.
Kids love this too as they think they shouldn’t be doing it!
Simple Drawing and Colouring
My middle daughter who is 4 just liked to create her own pictures with the paints. You could either colour in images you already have in colouring books or draw free-hand with the paint sticks! You may want to use to make a Mother’s Day Card or some Easter crafts.
Dye Your Doll’s Hair
I have already written a post on dying your doll’s hair and this idea came from my eldest, who was probably thrilled that I let her do it. However, it is so easy to wash out the colours from your doll’s hair! It looks great and it kept my eldest very busy for ages.
Finger Painting or Dotting
It’s great fun to make different patterns with the different colours in the Little Brian. You can use your fingers or simply just dot the sticks on a page. My eldest started making an Easter egg!
Painting Difference Surfaces
Mother’s Day is coming and this is a perfect time to make gifts and you can do this by painting different surfaces, like rock painting!
You do need to find more of a whiter rock however. My eldest had a go with one from our drive and was a little dark. You’ll have to go rock hunting first!
Mess-Free Painting – Our Overall Thoughts!
I’ve never really used Paint Sticks before and was really impressed. I am one of those Mums who does a huge sigh when the kids ask to paint, as I know it will end up everywhere. I hate having to wash out paint pots and brushes and I also know the kids don’t tend to paint for long. You set everything up and it can last a 15 minutes!
You do not have this issue with Little Brian Paint Sticks at all. They are easy to get out and tidy away. There are no paint brushes and pots to clean. You can put something on your table of course to protect it but if you don’t, any stains are easily wiped away with a cloth or wet wipe (yes I did have to do this when I discovered my table the other day!!) Paint Sticks are water soluble and if you don’t like mess, perfect for you.
I love how versatile they are. I love you can paint on windows and it will wash out. You can draw, do finger paints and even paint rocks.
Little Brian Paint Sticks kept my kids busy for ages and they have been great during the lockdown weekends, which are really not the same of course and we need things to do.
There are so many amazing colours in the Little Brian Paint stick range. Fluorescent colours and metallic colours too! I’m a huge fan of colour and I didn’t know where to start with so much choice in both the bucket and assorted colours pack.
Overall the kids and I had good fun with the Little Brian Paint Stick’s range. They would make a perfect gift too!
