Things I Loved in July | AD

July has come and gone in a flash! It’s hard to believe the kids have broken up and school is out for the summer! I usually fret a little about this but so far the holidays have been lovely! We have a good few things planned for the next few weeks.

July has been a pretty good month for lots of reasons and here are some of the things I have loved in July.

The Heat

Some people love it and some people hate it but I quite enjoyed the hot weather! Apart from one day of feeling really exhausted, after over doing it, we sat out at night and had BBQs. We had water fights and not much sleep! I do wish we could have another warm week, as it seems to have disappeared now!

Our Trip to Scotland

I’ll write a little more about our staycation on the blog but we have just come back from 6 nights away in North Yorkshire and Scotland and it has been great. I was scared of taking the kids so far and not going abroad but it was pretty fun. We saw family and two sets of friends, stopping in Aberdeen and Inverness. Lots of chats, outdoor fun and a bit of rain!

Seeing Friends

I’ve really been enjoyed the lockdown being lifted and having some more time with friends. This has meant meals out, hanging out in houses and chatting and just have a lovely time. I’ve missed it and enjoyed making up for lost time.

New Clothes

The weather has been a little warmer and perfect for some florals and pastels and this is exactly what I have chosen from Femme Luxe this month.

The first item I chose was this Cream Floral Strappy Ruched Bodycon Mini Dress from the Mini Dresses collection. I chose a size 10 and this currently retails at £21.99. Unfortunately, this was a little tight but you can see below the pattern is lovely and very summery.

The second item was this Lilac Ruched Ribbon Strappy Crop Top from the Crop Tops and Bralettes Collection. I chose a medium at size 8 to 10 and this retails at £9.99.

I also chose this Pink Check Print Oversized Button Up Pocket Shacket from the Shackets Collection. I chose a size medium this time and it actually fit fine. It currently retails at £21.99.

This is a teeny bit big on me but overall I love it. The colour is so perfect for the time of year and it goes with jeans so well.

Finally I chose this Black Cut Out Shoulder Structure Mesh Sleeve Crop Top from the Black Tops Collection. It currently retails at £15.99 and I chose a size 10.

This was a tad revealing for me but would be good for a night out.

I’m hoping August for the rest of the summer holidays will be just as fun. We have another trip planned for the end of the holidays with family and my husband is also off work for a little longer too, which always helps!

Here’s to the next month!
