Kid’s Gift Ideas for Christmas | AD

STABILO woody 3 in 1 wallet of 18 colours

My kid’s are already so excited for Christmas as I write this post! They have both started writing Christmas lists and searching through catalogues circling what they would like, just like me. I have kids in quite a wide age range of almost 2 to 7 years old but my girls both play with similar things now and my little man isn’t getting that much anyway! He’s still at that age where he doesn’t understand and can be completely happy with one toy. Plus I know he will be well into anything the girls get and I’m expecting a few tantrums on Christmas morning. So my kid’s gift ideas for Christmas this year is quite a mix to suit them all.

So without further ado, here are some lovely ideas for the kids and I’m pretty excited to see their faces for some of these on Christmas Day!

For My 3 Year Old

Now I feel a bit mean as he’s only got a couple of things in this guide BUT this reflects what he will be receiving. As he’s only almost 3, so too much means he is just completely overwhelmed!!

Work Bench from Jaques London

I love wooden toys; proper classics that you can keep for years and pass on to other children to play with. My children have a few lovely items.

I was thrilled to be sent some products for my kid’s guide from Jaques London. Their website is full of some amazing products, so set some time aside to have a browse!

In keeping with the rainbow theme Jaques kindly sent us this Kids Toolkit & Bench – Wooden Construction Toy. It retails at £18.99 and is one a large selection of toys for two year olds.

The product is designed to help children develop fine motor skills by practising precise movements, such as hammering and tightening screws. Children will also begin to recognise colours and different types of tools. The Construction Bench encourages curiosity about job roles and the world around us.

Jack and The Giant Tantrum Book

My little man is definitely a bit of a tantrummer; in fact quite a huge one! I was thinking this lovely sounding book may help with him controlling his emotions and starting to understand what they mean a little.

As specified online:

Jack and the Giant Tantrum has been designed to help tots learn to control their temper in a fun and accessible way. Featuring a list of practical coping methods for dealing with frustrated feelings at the back of the book, and written with support from a child psychologist, the playful illustrations by Chris Jevons provide lots of hilarious details to spot throughout.
The gentle and reassuring tone will help toddlers recognise and manage complex emotions.

Jack is sweet and kind most of the time, but throws the BIGGEST tantrums Monster Town has ever seen when he gets upset. Will he ever learn how to keep his temper? The first in a brand new picture book series perfect for adults and children to enjoy together!

It currently retails at £5.94 on Amazon and you can win a copy at the end of the guide!

Cat Junior Crew Construction Vehicles

My little man is a huge fan of anything the moves; so cars, buses, diggers…you name it he loves it. Earlier on we got to review some fabulous vehicles from the Cat Junior Crew Construction Range. You can read the full review here.

All are aimed at children aged 2 years and over.  All the products make the unique Kid-Vroom Sounds™ and sound like your child is making them!  They are also designed to boost your child’s curiosity, develop their fine motor skills and help them to learn about cause and effect!

We were sent 3 items from the range, including the Power Track and the Construction Buddies Dump Truck and both were such fun. I can’t wait for my little man to have this Christmas.

The Unicorn’s Secret Diary

My middle daughter is getting so much better with her writing and colouring and I knew a diary would be something she could sink her teeth into in 2022!

The Unicorn’s Secret Diary from Toys and Bears is a 90 page unicorn diary to keep your secrets safe! You can customise it with stickers and glitter and write secret notes to your friends with invisible ink!

It is aimed at children aged 5-10 years old and retails at £14.99.

Forest Fairisle Jumper from Frugi

I love some of the products from Frugi. The designs and quality are amazing and you know you will get a truly lovely item of clothing.

For this year’s kid’s guide we were kindly sent this beautiful Forest Fairisle Jumper in age 4-5 years. It retails between £36-£38 and comes in sizes 18-24 months to 9-10 years. My husband was asking if he could get it in adult size!

As taken from online: The brand NEW classic and super-duper snuggly Forest Fairisle Jumper, made from wonderfully soft organic cotton, will help to keep your kid warm and cosy on their adventures this chilly season.

STABILO Woody 3 in 1 Wallet

My 5 year old is getting very creative and is pretty good at her artwork. I love seeing what creations she will do next!

She was sent this lovely Stabilo Woody 3 in 1 Wallet, that includes a paint brush and sharpener. It currently retails at £28.99.

STABILO woody 3 in 1 combines a colouring pencil, watercolour and wax crayon all in one. With its high opacity and colour intensity even on dark paper it is a favourite for every child. Its XXL lead is perfect for large areas and suited for children’s hands as the chunky pencil allows a good grip. It’s also water soluble and can decorate windows and cups but can be easily removed with a damp cloth.

I’m looking forward to seeing what she does with these!

Stickman Tonie for Tonie-Box

My girls and now little man love their Tonie Box.  You can read my full review here, as we were lucky to get one last year.

A Toniebox is an audio player that allows children to listen to both music, factual content and stories. Perfect for lovely screen-free story-telling this Christmas. You play different Tonies on top of your Toniebox and it recognises who is standing on top and downloads the story from the Toniecloud. The Toniebox will turn solid green on top and your story will have fully downloaded and is ready to play anywhere, without Wi-Fi. connection! This would be perfect for the car, travelling or simply in a place without Wi-Fi.

We were lucky this year to receive a Stick Man Tonie to put on top of our box! Tonies usually retail at £14.99 and can be found online or in John Lewis.

Peter Rabbit Pillow from Enseco

My middley in particular is quite a fan of Peter Rabbit. She has some card games she loves and of course loves the story.

Both my girls are also huge pillow and cushions fans; in fact anything that you can snuggle up with. They are real creatures of comfort. I knew a gorgeous Peter Rabbit Cushion from Enesco. This cushion is covered in a super-soft velvet like fabric, making them extremely tactile and snuggly, perfect for my kids. Completed with intricate embroidery and applique detail, this Peter Rabbit Cushion shows the famous rabbit wearing his iconic blue jacket. It’s lovely! Currently retailing at £15, I know my daughter will love.

Enesco have a lovely range of gifts, including their Beatrix Potter range.

Hat and Gloves Set from Regatta Outdoors

We are definitely starting to hit the colder season now and my girls always need hats and gloves. So do I for that matter actually!

My middley was sent Kids’ Luminosity III Reflective Bobble Hat Dark Cerise and matching gloves; a perfect stocking filler from Regatta Outdoors. We chose size 7-10 (basically as she does have a larger head!) and this currently retails at £4.95, on offer.

There’s a fleece lining too to help lock in heat. The bobble hat is finished with reflective thread to help little ones stay seen in low light. Great for little ones!

The gloves also retail at £4.95 right now!

The Pop Up Weather Book

My girls are both always fascinated by the weather and always ask tonnes of questions. I thought, why not get them a book about the weather!

The Pop Up Weather Book is written and illustrated by Maike Biederstädt.

From raucous stormy seas to a welcomingly vivid rainbow, weather’s most exciting moments come to brilliant life in this fantastic new popup book.

Each page features an informative description of its weather event and the book ends with some thoughts on the effects of climate change.

It’s currently available on Amazon for £15.25.
