Nothing But Healthy Snacks – REVIEW

AD – As a Dietitian and a current food lover, I’m always keen for any new products that boast to be healthy and also tasty. Nothing But contacted me and asked if I would like to review their new line of products. As the name suggests the ingredients are nothing but fresh fruit and vegetables that have been freeze dried. A real nifty trick.

Currently these yummy snacks are available in Lloyds Pharmacies and can be bought on Amazon or online at Holland and Barrett

 More About Nothing But

The products are:

There are three vegetable packs and three fruit ones available. I was sent beetroot and parsnip, strawberry and banana and pineapple and grape to try. There is also red pepper and mange tout and pea and sweetcorn.

The calorie content of these is very low around 35-75kcals per pack, the highest calories being in the pea and sweetcorn variety, so this very tempting if you want to nibble but not go overboard. There is also some filling fibre present and only the natural sugars present in the fruit and vegetables.

My Verdict?

The products came in a lovely gift wrapped basket which was a lovely start.

I was very impressed. You do have to bear in mind the vegetable ones do not taste like vegetable crisps which are very salty. They do taste like a crunchy, crisp version of the vegetable. My daughter struggled a bit with these but I enjoyed my bag and I would be keen to try the other varieties.

However, she really quite liked the fruit packs and so did it. They are very sweet but that can make reaching for a bag of these for a sweet after-dinner snack not such a bad thing.

If you fancy a sweet or savoury treat, that is low calorie, free from added nasties and tasty Nothing But is for you! The packet is convenient and ready-prepared and a good way to get a portion of fruit or vegetables in. Especially if you have a fruit dodger like my little gremlin.

I received a sample of Nothing But Snacks for free to review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
