Oxo Tot Weaning Products REVIEW

AD – Little Piglet loves her food and is now feeding herself. This makes life a lot easier for us but life is very messy with her at the table!  Weaning is a fun time; your little ones are trying new foods, new tastes and textures, as well as learning to eat with their hands. Choosing the right equipment can be tricky and when I was offered some Oxo Tot weaning goodies to try out on little Piglet, I was keen to try them out.

What Were We Sent?

Little Piglet was sent a variety of weaning goodies.

She was sent a roll up bib aimed at children 6 months old plus. It’s wipeable, comfortable and can be washed in the machine. It can also be rolled up for travel and storage. It retails at £12.

She was also sent a training plate, also aimed at children aged 6 months and older. The plate is weighted and the ring is also removable. This retails at £7.00.

Recommended at children slightly older, 12 months plus, Little Piglet was also sent a fork and spoon set. These are easy to hold and help with self feeding. They retail at £7.

Also a transition cup, suitable from 4 months. This is pretty cool, as starts with handles and spout. You can then take the handles off. Then take the spout off but there still is a protective lid. Finally you can remove that when they have control and you think they may not spill as much. This is thought to be around 3 years old. Pretty clever! These retail at around £10.

What Did We Think?

I was really impressed!

Little Piglet was ready for the cup without the spout and handles, as she is 18 months. We actually took the entire lid off, as she loves to drink out of a glass but she did spill a bit! Despite, that she drank with no problems, as you can see.

The bib was great. There was no discomfort putting it on her and I liked how sturdy it felt. It caught some of her food that missed her mouth, which meant less mess on her clothes. She also liked to eat out of it! The bit was easy to wipe and clean and although I haven’t used the roll function to take it out, this is an innovative idea and would be useful for getting out and about.

I really liked the way the plate had the edge to it, yet it looked more like a grown-up plate for her. It meant less mess but better than a plastic bowl, that moves all over and food gets spilt. I liked that it was weighted too.

Together with the cutlery she ate really well. The cutlery was really easy for her to grip and she could feed herself with no problems at all. She was really independent.

Overall Thoughts

I was really impressed with the range I was sent by Oxo Tot. All the items are innovative and you can tell so much thought has gone into each product.

My youngest ate so well with them and it gave her independence and confidence, so her eating was fab. The price is reasonable and I like how they can all be put in the dishwasher. They also feel very durable.

Overall some fab products and brilliant if you are starting weaning.
