Kid’s Gift Ideas for Christmas | AD

My kid’s are already so excited for Christmas as I write this post! They have both started writing Christmas lists and searching through catalogues circling what they would like, just like me. I have kids in quite a wide age range of almost 3 to 9 years old but my girls both play with similar things now and my little man isn’t getting that much anyway! He’s still at that age where he doesn’t understand and can be completely happy with one toy. Plus I know he will be well into anything the girls get and I’m expecting a few tantrums on Christmas morning. So my kid’s gift ideas for Christmas this year is quite a mix to suit them all.

So without further ado, here are some lovely ideas for the kids and I’m pretty excited to see their faces for some of these on Christmas Day!

For My 3 Year Old

Now I feel a bit mean as he’s only got a couple of things in this guide BUT this reflects what he will be receiving. As he’s only almost 3, so too much means he is just completely overwhelmed!!

Super Stretchy Superworm

From the adorable book by Julia Donaldson, Superworm, which my baby boy loves, this cute and adorable Super Stretchy Superworm from WOW! Stuff, stretches to double its length (20cm) and then springs back to its original size. It’s detailed and will keep your kids happy for ages.

It is very robust and of good quality too!

He RRPs around £8.99.

Work Bench from Jaques London

I love wooden toys; proper classics that you can keep for years and pass on to other children to play with. My children have a few lovely items.

I was thrilled to be sent some products for my kid’s guide from Jaques London. Their website is full of some amazing products, so set some time aside to have a browse!

In keeping with the rainbow theme Jaques kindly sent us this Kids Toolkit & Bench – Wooden Construction Toy. It retails at £18.99 and is one a large selection of toys for two year olds.

The product is designed to help children develop fine motor skills by practising precise movements, such as hammering and tightening screws. Children will also begin to recognise colours and different types of tools. The Construction Bench encourages curiosity about job roles and the world around us.

Jack and The Giant Tantrum Book

My little man is definitely a bit of a tantrummer; in fact quite a huge one! I was thinking this lovely sounding book may help with him controlling his emotions and starting to understand what they mean a little.

As specified online:

Jack and the Giant Tantrum has been designed to help tots learn to control their temper in a fun and accessible way. Featuring a list of practical coping methods for dealing with frustrated feelings at the back of the book, and written with support from a child psychologist, the playful illustrations by Chris Jevons provide lots of hilarious details to spot throughout.
The gentle and reassuring tone will help toddlers recognise and manage complex emotions.

Jack is sweet and kind most of the time, but throws the BIGGEST tantrums Monster Town has ever seen when he gets upset. Will he ever learn how to keep his temper? The first in a brand new picture book series perfect for adults and children to enjoy together!

It currently retails at £4.39 on Amazon and you can win a copy at the end of the guide!

For My 6 Year Old

The Genius Square

My middle daughter loves playing games with me, so I knew a game for her would be perfect this Christmas.

We were kindly sent the Genius Square from The Happy Puzzle Company. It is aimed at children aged 6 years and over and retails at £18.99.

As taken from online:

“The aim of each of the 62,208 possible puzzles is to complete the square using the nine coloured shapes, once the seven ‘blockers’ have been positioned. There may be times when it seems impossible, but there will ALWAYS be at least one solution… and that’s why it’s called The Genius Square!”

You can play alone even and challenge yourself. Can’t wait to play this with my little one, though it does sound like will be a bit of a challenge at times. All the luck of the drawer.
