Glam Goo Slime Deluxe Pack – REVIEW

AD – What is it with kids and slime? The gremlin is obsessed with the stuff. It’s a fun and strange fascination. She is also a bit in love with glitter and sparkles, so when we were asked to review the new Glam Goo Deluxe Slime Pack, I knew she would be really keen.

What is Glam Goo Slime?

Glam Goo is kind of what is sounds! You can decorate, customise and even wear your own slime. There is a different range of products but all come with the clear Glam Goo and you can then add in colour, glitter and even scent!

What Were We Sent?

The gremlin was very kindly sent a Glam Goo Deluxe Slim pack. These are available from Argos, Smyths, Tesco and Asda for some examples. It RRPs at £22.99. Also Amazon.

Included in the kit is a container of Glam Goo (clear slime), a glitter purse and double ring, three slime decorations – Cloud Crunch, Daydreams and Unicorn Tears, two colours: Electric Blue and Pinky Promise, one scent – Violet Vibes (lilac), and one mixing spoon.

What Did We Think?

The gremlin was pretty excited to try the kit out. I’d been holding off until the weekend and we sat one Saturday and had a look!

There was a large tub of clear slime which I have to say is very gloopy and sticky at first but I found after playing with it a little it becomes firmer. If you have a child who is a bit funny with mess on their hands, they may struggle a little at first. You can add bicarbonate to it which helps to firm it up.

The glitter purse opens up to display a tray of small compartments for you to customise your slime. I helped the gremlin scoop some into a compartment and she added in some glitter and seemed to love the Electric Blue colours.

We smelt the scent but have to say were not too keen on the smell, so didn’t use this too much. It was really easy to them mix the glitter and colour in and I have to say the slime quickly changed colour. It looked really good!

The gremlin enjoyed adding the slime to her ring so she could wear it around the house. It kept her entertained for a good while. I was urging her not to use all the slime up in one go, so she could come back to it another time. She made a good few different slimes and filled up quite a few compartments in her purse. The slime itself is quite therapeutic to play with and I enjoyed playing with it alongside her.

We did stay in the kitchen and urged her not to take into the lounge and room, as we have had slime all over the floor before and it is tough to remove.

Overall Thoughts

I loved this slime kit. My Mum wasn’t massively keen as she found it pretty gross but agreed with me, it kept the gremlin pretty entertained for ages. It was easy for her to do alone and with us. Granted there is a bit of mess to clean up afterwards and once you have used all the slime, you can’t make more.

However, the gremlin loves to play with slime generally so that’s not too much of an issue! She loves the bag and does like to carry it around.

I think if you can cope with the gloopiness and messiness of slime, then it’s a winner. It’s original, reasonably good value for money and would make a fun gift.

Thumbs up from us!
