Poopsie Slime Surprise **REVIEW**

Poopsie Slime Surprise **REVIEW**

AD – Poopsie Slime Surprise is another fun product for kids today.

I am yet to find any kids who don’t love slime and surprises, like blind bags. My gremlin is obsessed and as I have said on some of my other reviews, I quite enjoy opening blind bags too!

To therefore combine the two and I think it has to be a winning combination.

The gremlin was offered the chance to review some Poopsie Slime Surprise and of course the answer was yes. What I didn’t realise at first was this gave us the chance to make Unicorn Poop and of course there are not many of us that don’t like unicorns…well are there?

Since reviewing this we have also reviewed The Poopsie Slime Pooey Puitton, Poopsie Slime Sparkly Critters and Poopsie Slime Cutie Tooties. Check these out too!

More About Poopsie Slime Surprise

I had not heard of this product at all but the gremlin, who lives on YouTube, knew about it.

The product is designed for kids over 3 years old and it retails at £9.99 for a tub; available in Smyths, The Entertainer and Argos. There are 18 to collect.

Each pack contains:

  • 10 magical surprises
  • Unicorn Food (slime powder) and Unicorn Magic
  • Collectible bottle and poop character keychain.
  • Mystery scent dropper, unicorn spoon, and collector’s sheet

Opening the Poopsie Slime Surprise

The gremlin and I parked ourselves down one Saturday afternoon, after she had done some school work, to open and test out the slime.

Poopsie Slime Surprise

First you just open the tub and the gremlin found this very easy.

As you open it you start to find surprises!

Little blind bags are behind the label, as well as ingredients to make the slime! You then take the lid off the tub to reveal more blind bags ready to open.

As you can see above all is ready to make the slime, including the ingredients, a spoon, scent, a measuring cup and cool container, that was like a mini coffee cup. There is also a collectable character, where inside you can store your made slime!! I guess like Poop!!

The first step is the fill the green cup to the 15ml line twice and add to the coffee cup. Then you add 5 drops of surprise scent. These scents vary and some are rare!! You can read more on the enclosed poster. It also tells you which cups and characters are rare too.

You then open the Unicorn Food and pour into the scented water in the cup. As you can see by the pictures, it is easily spilt, so be careful!!

Making Poopsie Slime Surprise

You then shake the container (with the lid tightly on) for 60 seconds and leave for 15-20 minutes, until it is set.

Now we found it did not set in 20 minutes and was still runny. I wasn’t sure if it was because I spilt some powder. I know I used the right amount of water but after 30 minutes, I had a go adding the sparkle to the slime as instructed and it was still a little gloopy, as you can see by the picture below.

I decided to put the slime back in the coffee cup and leave for a while longer. After 30 more minutes it was properly set and the gremlin, managed to get it out and put is inside her character!! She loved this, as it made a trumping noise, as she stuffed it in! Toilet humour never fails eh?

What Did We Think?

I enjoyed sitting down with the gremlin and doing this, as it was something we could do together and with it needing a lot of time to set, took up some time on a rainy Saturday. She really had fun too and got really into making the slime. Of course, as there was surprises and blind bags, she was in heaven.

I don’t think £9.99 is too unreasonable in comparison with other products on the market and you get a good experience and some collectables afterwards too.

I would bear in mind it takes longer than 15-20 minutes to set from our experience, unless I made errors with the recipe and liquid. You can use it earlier but it is very gloopy, so give it some time. My gremlin is five and did need some supervision too, so make sure not left alone, as can be messy.

My eldest loved the finished product and is storing it in her collectable as I write.

I would recommend this product and would make a lovely stocking filler and activity for the Christmas holidays!
