I love my paper diary for my personal use. At work I am all about an electronic calendar but not at home. However, I was finding I was using my personal diary for my blog work and it was getting a bit muddled.
When I was offered the chance to review a planner from TOAD Diaries, I was really keen as could be the answer to my disorganised diary!
What Do TOAD Diaries Offer?
TOAD offer personalised and customised diaries and notebooks and the sky really is the limit. Some options offered are:
- Date flexible Diaries – you can choose week or fortnightly views, day views or half day views. You can also start at any point during the year for 12 or 18 months, as examples.
- Appointment Diaries – you can select the appointment length time.
- Personalised Notebooks – which can be blank, lined or dotted as examples.
- Fitness and Runner’s Diaries
- Music Manuscripts
You can then change the size of the diary, the binding and you can customise the cover. There are many options available, including adding your name or text to the front and back page.
You then decide the duration of the diary, how many days on a page, what month it starts and even what day of the week you would prefer it to start on. So many choices!
Prices do vary but looked to start at around £12.
My Verdict
As I knew I was going to use my diary for blogging, I asked if it would be possible to put my blog logo on the front. It was possible and I chose a cover that would suit.
I picked a quarto sized diary (which is half way between A4 and A5) with a 2 day view per page, wiro-bound. I figured this would give me plenty of room for all my planning.
I picked a “Minimal” cover theme with “Clouds” design. I started it in June, with an 18 months duration.
This was what I received and I was sooo chuffed with the logo print.

This is the inside.
I love my TOAD Diary. I have so much space each day to write lists of what I need to do for the blog and this is due to being able to personalise it just how I liked. I use it every day and can brainstorm make blog notes.
There is a calendar and a year planner too for easy noting.
My only negatives points would be the plastic covering is not as firm as previous diaries I have had and bent a little on postage and the page marking ribbon could do with being a tad longer, but these are minor.
These diaries would make a perfect gift to yourself or for a present. As they are so flexible to design, it’s not something you can just give at Christmas!
