Family Fashion Essentials for this Season

Family Fashion Essentials for this Season

I love this time of year! My hubby really gets fed up of the cold and darkness; he prefers chilling out in his shorts and flip flops and hanging around in the garden. Autumn and winter don’t really float his boat at all.

For me this time of year is really magical; Hallowe’en, Bonfire Night, my birthday and of course, Christmas! Special times means dressing up, wrapping up and keeping snuggly. Winter fashion I adore; boots, coats, jumpers, hats and scarfs. Who can also forget cosy PJs when you are home from work and hot chocolate with marshmallows.

I always treat the girls to new clothes and new shoes and we like a good quality pair, like Uppersole offer. If it’s cold and wet, you need garments and shoes that will protect and keep your kids warm.

I asked my fellow bloggers what their winter fashion essentials were and this is what they suggested:

“I love the younger ones wearing snowsuits this time of year. They’re so warm and cosy and they look so cute!” Jennifer from Mighty Mama Bear.

“Me and the kids basically live in Christmas jumpers from the end of November 🙈 when I’m not breastfeeding, I like a chunky jumper dress and tights with boots!”  Abi from Something About Baby.

“Woolly jumpers are my favourite for us all. For work I like dresses with thick tights, so I feel smart but stay warm at the same time.” Victoria from Starlight and Stories.

“All the layers!! With the weather so hit and miss, and going outdoor to indoor, we remove/add layers depending on where we are and what we’re doing.” Laura from Five Little Doves.

“Every year we love to buy new cute hats for little ones and big scarves for adults!” Raimonda from Cosmo Mum.

“We love going out on walks around the local area and the boys love puddles! so every year we make sure to buy wellies along with wellie socks to keep them warm!” Jaymee from The Mum Diaries.

“Warm jackets, usually a puffer style, for the dog walks because we will go out in all weathers.” Emma from Emma Reed.

“Cashmere as it doesn’t make you sweat as breathable. Also it’s super soft.” Nadia from Scandimummy.

“A warm hat and matching gloves! Nothing worse than cold ears and fingers during the winter months.” Sophie from Life as Mrs D.

“My boys love wearing padded waterproof snowsuits, which are essentially like walking around wearing a duvet! Just add a woolly bobble hat and wellies and they are good to go! I wish they did them in adult sizes!!” Emma from Dirt, Diggers and Dinosaurs.

“I really look forward to buying my daughters their coats each year, it’s what they will be wearing most of the year, over all of their clothes anyway so for me it’s the main item!” Kate from Ever After With Kids.

I think being warm is everyone’s priority at this time of year but I love how matching items seem so popular!
