What I Loved About August | AD

What I Loved About August | AD

Another month has passed and it has been a busy one. The summer holidays for the kids has continued and it has been pretty exhausting. I would 100% say this summer has been the most tiring with the kids. Busy plans, being away, being on the go constantly and a lot of bickering with the kids!! I am certainly ready for a break! It’s always bitter-sweet in the summer. I enjoy all the activities and going away but it can be hard work and looong.

But there have of course been lots of highlights to August and here are some of mine.

A Trip to Chessington World of Adventures with the Family

Last week we headed down to Chessington for an overnight stay. We had a great time. My eldest went on a proper rollercoaster ride, The Vampire for the first time and loved it. We had quality time together as a family and it was great to get away. I’ll hopefully write the full post up at some point! We did find the queues long and the time flew but it was also an experience we learnt from and would hopefully repeat in the future.

My Eldest’s Birthday

It was my eldest daughter’s 8th birthday at the end of August. It felt like her birthday lasted for days! We went ice-skating, she had a new hamster and she had a sleepover! So much fun and I was pretty wrecked by the end of it.

Getting a new Hamster

I mentioned this on my previous point but it was so exciting to get a new addition to the household in the form of Fuzzy or Fuzzball; a fluffy Syrian hamster. He is very cute and I am enjoying having lots of cuddles.

New Clothes from Femme-Luxe

I usually use these post to highlight some new clothes I have had some Femme-Luxe and this month is no different. I chose 4 items, all very different.

The first item was another Shacket but I absolutely love them. They are so comfortable and warm. As the weather has been pretty cool this August, they are needed.

I chose this Sage Oversized Check Print Long Sleeve Contrast Hooded Shacket from the Shackets Collection. This time I went for a small, as a better for for me than medium. This currently retails at £29.99 and looks great with jeans and a tee.

The second item was a Black Faux Leather Pleated Skirt from the Skirts Collection. I chose a medium which is a size 10 and it currently retails at £9.99. It would be great for a night out with heels!

The third item was some joggers (well it has been cold!). I picked these Lilac Cuffed Joggers from the Joggers Collection. These currently retail at £11.99. I chose a size small and they fit well!

The final item was these White Wide Leg Elasticated Back Trousers from the Trousers Collection. They retail at £9.99 and I chose a size 10. These are quite summery, so if we managed a slightly warmer day, would be perfect.

Overall it has been another fun month. Birthdays, new additions and trips away.

Let’s see what September brings!
