I’ve tried not to bitch too much in this pregnancy. Some bits have been absolutely vile but overall, so far, I’ve been chugging along doing pretty well.
But there have been some quirks to my pregnancy, in fact so many I could go through the alphabet; and here we go!
A is for angry. At my daughter, at my hubby, at the annoying dude who DID NOT INDICATE!!!
B is for boobies. Full, sore, bursting out of my bras. I don’t care. I have a cleavage!
C is for colds. Got to love the suppressed immune system in the first trimester.
D is for Daddy. You need to help me a bit more and you have been. Love you.
E is for eating. THE WORLD. Everything and anything. My appetite has been insane.
F is for fear. OMG I have to give birth again. Day 5 hormones and the milk coming in…ARGH! I will have TWO!!!!
G is for the gremlin, who has been excited, loving and a little indifferent to my pregnancy at the same time.
H is for happy. I’m so excited to be having another little girly stinker.
I is for “I love you”. We are saying this an awful lot to our lovely first born at the moment.
J is for jumping. Had to stop this at the gym very early on.
K is for the kicks. They are all day and often at night but the best feeling ever.
L is for those long days. When I’m tired and fancy a nap or chilling on the bed with Netflix.
M is for midwife appointments. These are so lovely, as have been able to share with the gremlin, hear piglet’s heartbeat and check that everything is ok.
N is for nausea. Right up until 16 weeks. Yes, it stank.
O is for ow! Every time I sit for too long and get up. Not a nice feeling downstairs.
P is for my pelvic floor or lack of it. The nasty coughs were VERY interesting this time around. Oops.
Q is for quality time. What I am trying to spend with with gremlin before chaos ensues!
R is for rest. What’s that with a gremlin running around and an exercise-mad Mummy?
S is for scans. We have had 2 private ones this time around and 2 NHS. I have loved seeing our little piglet.
T is for tummy. It is round and tight and feels huge but I love it.
U is for uncomfy. The Braxton Hicks are ramping up now and I feel like I may explode!
W is for wees. Constantly. Three times a night. A dribble when I feel like I’m desperate!
V is for that poor thing that may have a baby coming out of it again (fingers crossed!)
X is for X-rated. Yep, that’s still going on *wink*
Y is for yawning. It seems to happen a lot at the moment.
Z is for zzzzzzzzzz. I’m getting lots of it at night and making the most of it.
It’s gorgeous, it’s messy, it’s teary and it’s angry!
What’s the A to Z of your pregnancy?
Haha love this. I agree with lots of these, especially e is for eating! I seriously just can’t stop haha.xx #TwinklyTuesday
What a fantastic post. Not sure what mine would be. Lol not sure I’d want to admit them out loud lol
Haha this is great and there’s so much I don’t miss about pregnancy… But those kicks are amazing aren’t they? Xx
Brilliant – love this post and your A to Z pregnancy list. Ah the joys of the pelvic floor second time around – I remember it very well! I also remember that fear – the realisation that I would have to go through labour again and trying to juggle two children. It took me quite a while to get used to try to manage to cope on my own with two but now it’s just normal life. The kicks are definitely the most magical bit of pregnancy and the thing that I still miss two and a half years on. #twinklytuesday
Great list! Brings it all back to me now – urgh – the nausea but Yay! the kicks! Glad to know it’s going smoothly for the most part – I hope you go on to have as amazing a second birth as I did 🙂 Thanks for linking hon Xx #thetruthabout
Ah I loved this, it brought it all back for me. 3 years ago now I’d have been about 18 weeks pregnant and sometimes (just on occasion mind you) I do miss it. Especially K for kicks, you can’t put a price on that feeling. #bestandworst
Love this. So sweet and funny especially x! #bestandworst
E is for eating and Y is for yawning.. pretty much sums up my pregnancy the second time round. How cute is that picture of Gremlin?
That’s such a good list, I love that overall you’re having such a lovely pregnancy. #bestandworst
Love lists like these. I was wondering what you would come up with for ‘X’.. Didn’t think of that so that tells you a lot! haha.. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!
Love this! An A-Z… my goodness there is literally a legitimate pregnancy feling for every letter!
Best of luck for your last weeks and of course BirthDay.
xx

Definitely agree with kicks, I’ve a very short body and had a lot of tin kicks, it was weird! #bestandworst
Fab post! I was also wondering what X would be!! There was none of that during my pregnancies, my consultant actually banned us with them being so high risk and various bleeds, it was a lonnnnnnnng nine months let me tell you! #bestandworst
I don’t think I could remember mine now…feels like ages ago! Although my fondest memory would be eating a bag of haribo for my dinner just because I could! #bestandworst
Love this. I ate everything. Especially biscuits. #bestandworst
awww re the nausea…and the dribbling when you are desperate !! #bestandworst
Brilliant! Brilliant ! I love your funny posts always have started laughing at A and didn’t finish till I got to Z really fab post thanks for hosting #bestandworst
This is great, I can relate to so many of these points. Especially the one about eating, when I finally lost the sickness I ate EVERYTHING!
#bestandworst
Oh yes I can totally relate to so of these!! The nausea and dizziness were a low in my pregnancy! #bestandworst
still loving this! Thanks for hosting #bestandworst xx
Awww, really lovely reflections. I can relate to lots of these from my pregnancy which to be honest I cant say im missing! Not too long to go now lovely!! 🙂 Emily #bestandworst
Seriously giving me flashbacks! My baby is nearly 3; crazy how quickly you forget! Thanks for sharing. #bestandworst
Great post and it took my right back to my second time…which is different to the first, isn’t it? Especially the desire to spend real heaps of quality time with #1 because you know once baby is born your world will be so very different – but a very happy different!
Best of luck
xx
I can certainly relate to all of these – it’s exhausting second time round… #bestandworst
What a fantastic post – so lovely to celebrate the good and the not so good of pregnancy and I can definitely relate to every one! Thanks for hosting #bestandworst
Brilliant Sarah and all on point!! One of mine is “S is for stretch and sweep – just had one” ahhhhhh xx
I do like this concept and can relate to many of those. I love your memory book page too. Are you making an album?
Loved reading this – brought it all back! I was sick up until week 16 too, so I feel for you! But then I did feel great after that – but not sure it will be so smooth running if there’s a next time with those (lack of) pelvic floor muscles! Sounds like the gremlin is getting a lot of love, she’s going to love having a little sister so much xx #bestandworst
I loved this. We have been talking recently about baby no2 and I’ve had major mixed thoughts. 1, I would love a sibling for Henry and at 35, I feel time is running out. But on the flip side, 2, I had such an awful pregnancy and birth. Reading your AtoZ confirmed it, im getting a surrogate, haha X #bestandworst
I loved reading your list, it took me right back. I sometimes feel my babies were so long ago (my youngest is 8 now – gulp!), so it’s nice to reminisce, the good and the bad, along with you. Good luck, not long now? #BestandWorst
Love this – all so true (except for the exercise bit at this end haha!!). Mine would probably be D for delivery and the question of how he will come! I have spent most of my pregnancy wondering if he’ll be breach like his brother but right now (well as of Friday last week he is head down (apparently!). Thanks for linking up with #TwinklyTuesday
Ah this is lovely! And also bringing back some interesting memories for me! xx #bestandworst
A perfect description of pregnancy, other than ‘X’ there was very little of that in our house ;). I was angry at everyone too, but it came in waves, so I’d be angry one second, crying the next, then laughing. Hormones are crazy!! We had plenty of scans too, they’re so lovely x
