A Beautiful Christmas Gift with The Royal Mint

A Beautiful Christmas Gift with The Royal Mint

Choosing gifts can sometimes be a bit overwhelming and you never really have any ideas of what to get someone. I definitely find this with my gremlin, as she browses YouTube, tells me about all the things she likes but often it is very hard to pinpoint what she wants. This is where a gift from the Royal Mint may be a real original and beautiful idea.

We were very kindly gifted a beautiful Flopsy Bunny™ 2018 UK 50p Silver Proof Coin & Book Gift Set.

This RRPs at £120 and it really is beautiful.

Our Thoughts

I did show my eldest this gift prior to Christmas and she thought it was lovely. She was a little fascinated by the cased coin and I had to explain it was for decoration and not to spend! I loved how it all came in a beautiful presentation box, with little booklet.

I know it will be a beautiful keepsake for the girls when they get older and if they are lucky, I may actually let them read the book. It feels very precious and I would hate the pages to get creased and messy.

This gift may suit a slightly older child, my eldest is 5 and of course she is still a little excited and heavy handed. She immediately wanted to start playing imaginary games with the set. The gift had been left as a present for her and she wanted to open and close the box ten billion times, bless her!

It is of course not the cheapest gift at £120 but these are collectors items and to keep for future and even passed down within a family.

I haven’t had much experience of gifts from the Royal Mint before but I really was wowed by this gift and I know it would make a lovely addition to Christmas.
