Father’s Day Gift Guide 2019

fathers day gift guide

AD – I can’t believe Father’s Day is coming around again! We will just be coming back from our holiday in Croatia so I will have to be organised for both hubby and my step-Dad. For hubby it is a little more exciting as he is a Dad of 3 now. Crazy to think.

I always try to get something for them both and the girls get so excited at writing cards and giving presents (and opening them too!!).

In this year’s gift guide I have ran all ideas by my hubby and my step-Dad, as I always genuinely want them to like and want a certain gift. Otherwise no point really eh?

This is what they came up with for my Father’s Day Gift Guide this year.

1) NOT RUM by STRYYK

My step-Dad doesn’t drink alcohol and hubby doesn’t like much at all now. The hangovers with three children is so not worth it and we are quite health conscious too.

This non-alcoholic NOT RUM by STRYYK would be perfect as doesn’t compromise on taste but no alcohol!  NOT RUM is a unique mix of clove, oakwood, and grapefruit that creates a spirit that looks like rum and tastes like rum. It is 100% natural with no added sugar.

Definitely one for the Dads who don’t drink or who are tee-total.

2) A Cap from Buffwear

Hats do not suit the hubby, mainly as he has a huge head(!) but they do my step-Dad and being a redhead means even more covering up on holiday!

He also loves bright and bold designs so this Bugslinger Mosaic Camo Marine Blue cap from Buffwear is right up his street. It retails at £29.26. Some of the features include a breathable front panel which protects against glare. There is a back mesh to provide additional ventilation and an inner sweatband to absorb perspiration. Of course it is adjustable.

I know it will have been worn a lot on holidays! My daughter even stole it for school before we went!

3) Superfacialist Skincare Products

Both my hubby and step-Dad spend ridiculous amounts of time in the shower. Is this just a man thing? I knew these male grooming products from Superfacialist would be a great idea.

These products blend Vitamin B3 and Hyaluronic Acid, cactus water and volcanic sand. The science combines with nature to give men results!

They have a range of skincare products including moisturiser, anti-aging creams and eye creams. They can be found in Boots and Sainsburys.

4) A Chocolate Chess Knight from Yumbles

My hubby is the chocolate fiend, as my step-Dad is trying to be healthy. I say trying!

I love this Chocolate Chess Knight from Yumbles. It looks so cool and original and I have to say really tasty. Not that I ate it or anything…ahem.

It retails at £13.95 and is 13.5 x 7 x 3cm.

Yumbles also have a selection of other foody gifts, including free-from foods. There are even vegan gifts from Yumbles! Worth a browse for the food Dads out there.

5) Socks from Critically Endangered Socks

You can never go wrong with socks can you. My hubby gets through pairs ands pairs of them and is often buying more. I know he would love a pair from Critically Endangered Socks. This is a sock company that helps to protect some of the world’s most critically endangered animals.

They retail at £12 a pair and are made from a blend of sustainable bamboo and cotton. This is a lovely gift as doesn’t just give to your family but helps endangered species too.

6) Jelly Belly’s DC Super Hero Collection

My step-Dad loves jelly beans. In fact, I do for that matter so am not going to want to part with these at all! He also loves Super Heroes so a winning combo.

Three of the most iconic DC Super Heroes, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman have come to work with Jelly Belly!

There is a new 28g bag and 60g bag and include a mix of Jelly Belly Beans in the following flavours Berry Blue, Blueberry, Cream Soda, Sour Lemon, Very Cherry and Wild Blackberry. Delicious!

I did have to wrestle these from my daughter and I may have tasted a few myself.

I know these will go down a treat!

7) Red Letter Day Experience

Another for my step-Dad here! He’s huge fan of experience days and it is often a great gift to get, as actual gifts are so hard to buy for him!

When Red Letter Days asked if I would like to feature a gift, I knew it was a resounding yes. Red Letter Days offer a range of experiences to suit all budgets. You can choose afternoon tea, meals out, hotel stays, adrenaline-junkie car rides, pampering! There is such a large range to choose from.

My step-Dad loves car rides and picked the Triple Supercar Driving Blast with High Speed Passenger Ride. This currently retails at £79. It’s a 2 hour experience and the voucher lasts for 10 months, so plenty of time to book up.

Definitely have a browse if you are struggling with ideas this Father’s Day!

8) Brisk Beard Products

My step-Dad has a beard but he hasn’t always. I can’t actually imagine what he would look like without one now though! They are very trendy but not something my hubby has ever tried to grow.

These products from Brisk Beard will really help to keep a beard in shape! They are suitable for small amounts of stubble to longer beards. They are made from natural ingredients with a choice of scents.

Some are available from Boots and will help you Dad feel fresh and groomed, leaving a beard soft, cleansed and nourished. The Malt Moisturiser and Malt Face Wash are available from Morrisons.

9) Cards and Gifts from LoveLayla

LoveLayla crease me up! I love their non-standard, slightly (ok very rude) cards. Both my hubby and step-Dad have pretty good sense of humours and I knew would appreciate something from here.

There is a range of Father’s Day cards and gifts as well as other options such as notepads.

Personally I wanted to go all out rude but I have to photograph for the blog(!) so this is what hubby and I picked out.

The diary retails at £9.95.

The card £3.75

The badge £3.50.

I really think they will go down well.  Fun and original!

10) A Lyle and Scott Barrel Bag from Mainline Menswear

Hubby goes away now and then with work and her loves a good bag. He was thrilled with this Lyle and Scott green barrel bag from Mainline Menswear. It retails at £40 and is lightweight with an adjustable shoulder strap. There is also a zipped compartment on the inside.

Mainline Menswear are a brilliant site for all things fashion and style for men. There are so many brands to choose from in clothing, shoes and accessories.

Perfect for the fashion conscious Dad!

I’m hoping both my Dad and step-Dad enjoy their gifts this Father’s Day! With two people so hard to buy for, these ideas have really helped.
