As a mom, you want to do everything in your power to protect your children. This includes ensuring they are safe when they’re online. However, with so much information available at their fingertips, it can be tough to keep track of what your child is doing on the internet.
The first step in keeping your child safe online is to have a talk with them about internet safety. This includes discussing what personal information they should never share online, such as their full name, address, or phone number. It would be best if you also let them know that they should never meet someone they’ve only talked to online in person. If someone asks them to do this, they should tell you right away.
It’s also important to set some ground rules for your child’s internet use. For example, you may want to limit the amount of time they can spend online each day. You may also want to restrict their access to certain websites or content that you feel is inappropriate for them. By doing this, you can help ensure that your child is only exposed to content that is appropriate for their age. In addition to setting ground rules, you should also keep an eye on your child’s internet activity. This includes monitoring their social media accounts and keeping an eye on the websites they’re visiting.
