Usually associated with bachelor parties, casino life, and food buffets, Las Vegas is one of the most popular destinations to visit in the US. What many people don’t realise, though, is that Las Vegas is also capable of providing families with a truly memorable getaway.

While other American destinations are also worth considering, not many of them offer as many things to see and do as Las Vegas does. In fact, the 25th-most populous city in the United States has plenty to offer alongside its famous nightlife scene. Although movies featuring the likes of James Bond and Vegas-style games like Casino Charms show the Vegas experience in a slightly different light, there is actually an array of family-friendly activities to sample that can contribute towards an unforgettable vacation away. From an animal-filled day out to the opportunity to see a top show, Las Vegas has something for everyone.

If you’re keen to visit Las Vegas and experience its unique package with loved ones, then let’s assess some of things everyone can enjoy. So, without further ado, here’s a look at some of the best things to do in Las Vegas with the family.

An abundance of shows to see

It isn’t called the Entertainment Capital of the World out of nowhere, hence why Las Vegas is home to some of the best shows on the planet. From Excaliburs Tournament of Kings and Mystère by Cirque du Soleil to being able to see a Vegas Golden Knights game or go to a pop music gig, there are so many entertainers waiting to wow you and the family in Vegas. While it isn’t cheap, it’s most definitely worth the investment.

Visit Hersheys Chocolate World

Everyone likes chocolate, right? In order to experience the ultimate chocolate-filled destination, then you simply have to visit Hersheys Chocolate World. Offering more than 800 different types of candy and chocolate by the iconic brand, Hersheys Chocolate World is a truly unique place. You can even make your own bar while you’re there and take a picture alongside the huge milk chocolate Statue of Liberty, too.

Pools everywhere

Depending on where you’re staying, chances are you will have a swimming pool nearby. In case you don’t, though, then Vegas is full of options. For many, The Tank at the Golden Nugget is a great place to cool off. What makes this particular destination even more memorable has to be its slide that safely passes through an aquarium that houses five species of shark. Also capable of looking after the family when it comes to food and drink, The Tank is a great place to go for a swim.

Something for animal lovers

Once you’ve had enough of swimming and devouring copious amounts of chocolate, seeing a selection of the planet’s most amazing wildlife is a great thing to do. In Las Vegas, Siegfried & Roys Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat is the place to go. Offering tours, visitors can see an abundance of different creatures, from bottlenose dolphins to white tigers. The Lion Habitat Ranch is another excellent option.

Check out Adventuredome

Another popular option for many families who visit Las Vegas is Adventuredome, an amusement park packed full of fun rides. Capable of keeping all the family entertained for hours on end, there is so much to see and do there, from mini-bowling and crazy golf to bungee jumping and arcade games.

Other things to do include: see the Treasure Island exhibit, ride The Big Apple roller coaster, eat in some of the city’s top restaurants, see Springs Preserve, and have fun in the Fun Dungeon at Excalibur.
