Scrapbooking for Piglet

Everyone has told me there is no way I will have much time to do scrapbook pages for Baby No 2 – poor Piglet! I’m not daft and can probably see the truth in this.

I started scrapbooking in January 2014, a year before I started blogging. I remember not having a clue what I was doing, feeling totally overwhelmed at the pages I saw on Pinterest and Instagram but at the same time I was hooked. I used to think about it all the time. I was always looking at pages for inspiration, on Ebay for crafts to buy and I wanted to scrap all the time. This was quite hard with a 5 month old but I managed it when she was asleep. There was a great period when the gremlin used to spend about 2 hours in her cot in the afternoon either sleeping or just chatting to herself. I got loads of scrapping done then!

Since I started blogging in January 2015, time has got less and I haven’t done as many pages. I do miss it when I have a long gap but going back to work made it a lot harder to fit some scrapping in. So I decided I needed to do a few pages for Piglet and get a bit ahead before she was born. Maternity leave was a perfect time! I’m a regular subscriber to a monthly US based kit; Hip Kit Club and I get some great stuff. The also give out cut files for my Silhouette Cameo (which is a machine that can cut intricate designs for you on card, paper, fabric).

Here is a bit of a showcase of my work.

The first page you will have seen if you saw my pregnancy announcement!

The second page was me tracking my scans at 8, 12, 16 and 20 weeks.

Then I have a couple from holiday, bump shots and time with hubby.

Finally, I did a page with a lovely pic of me and my oldest school friend from school who made me an amazing nappy cake!

I’m already getting behind with the gremlin’s scrapping so god knows how I will do any when this Piglet comes but I’m sure I will find a little time.

I’m just glad she has a few pages done already! Bless!

Love those scrapbook pages and glad you’ve managed to get some done for Piglet. Sophie’s baby book still got filled in (although I often played catch-up but had a fab app on my phone to keep track of the milestones) – the only thing I’ve not managed to do for her that I did for Jessica was a scrapbook of the cards I received when she was born but I still have them in a box so maybe one day. Fingers crossed you still find time for scrapping. #WotW

I think it’s amazing you have the time to do any at all, but it’s worth it when you look back at all of the times captured. They’re beautiful pages
I recently went back and catalogues and compiled photo albums and I’m glad I did because it’s easy to forget!

Lovely pages and I’m sure Gremlin and Piglet will love seeing them as they get older. Feeling very guilty as my Eldest’s baby book is filled, my Middle Ones’s baby book is half full and the Youngest’s is almost empty. Nt sure I’m going to make up for lost time now. #wotw

I’ve always wanted to do a Scrapbook to chronicle my little girl’s growing-up years, but have never gotten to actually doing it. Well done to you! I better get going with mine too 🙂 #wotw

They all look so beautiful, I’m sure Piglet will appreciate them. It’s such a lovely way to capture moments in time, and I think even if you only grab the odd couple of hours every few months, it’s still going to be worth it. Gorgeous, thanks for sharing with #WotW x

oh I love your scrap book pages, well done. I know how time consuming it can be, I did a scrap book when Star was born. Each night I’d put her to bed and then stay in the bedroom working on my book until I went to bed, only stopping if she needed feeding or re-settling. I’ve never really felt that I’ve had to the time to do it since and unfortunately that was my one and only scrap book.

That all looks lovely, I hope you find a little time to carry on scrapping, the scrapbooks will be nice for your girls to look back on in years to come. I have a couple of smash books I must find more time to indulge in filling them. #WotW

Hi Sarah, scrap booking looks like such a lovely hobby and your pages are a real treat to look at. Juggling it with having two little ones maybe a bit tricky at times, but I’m sure when they are all grown up you will have managed to create some beautiful memories for them to look back at.

    xx

What a lovely thing to be able to look back on. Some great designs of pages there, sure beats putting your scan pics in an envelope in a drawer. #WotW
