My Love of Jewellery #mycharmstory

Anyone who knows me, knows I have a love of jewellery. I find it so hard in my current job, as I am not allowed to wear anything for risk of infection. This includes both my wedding and engagement rings, as both have stones in them. It’s one of the choices you make if your job is patient facing!

For some jewellery can be a bit of a faff, as involves putting it on and taking it off but I love choosing what to wear each morning (when I can). I have a variety of rings, bracelets and necklaces. I find I’m able to look after these, whereas earrings constantly go awol and I’m often found scrambling around, trying to find the one I have lost!

One of my favourite types of jewellery are charm bracelets. I am a bit of a magpie and love all the charms that you can add to them. I’ve been browsing recently and Kingu of London have some beautiful pieces. They also have done a bit of work onto what certain charms mean; the reasons behind your choices #mycharmstory.

For example if you choose a heart, this is the universal symbol of love, passion and affection. It’s meant to also represent truth and guidance and this is why people say “listen to your heart”.

I’m also a fan of the Tree of Life Charms and have seen these popping up. It is thought be a reminder that everything is connected. It is also supposed to have meanings such as harmony, wisdom and healing.

I also have a love for butterfly charms and it was the theme at my wedding. These are meant to symbolise change, joy and colour; a great charm for those who are in the middle of or contemplating change.

I don’t think anyone can have enough jewellery and beautiful pieces. There is so much choice and so many lovely designs. I’m always having a browse and having that sneaky buy!!

Why don’t you treat yourself?
