5 Things to do with Leftover Chocolate Easter Eggs

5 Things to do with Leftover Chocolate Easter Eggs

When I was a child I used to get given so much chocolate at Easter, it was a little ridiculous. I did have quite a few relatives who would always buy me and my brother one. We ended up eating chocolate eggs for months afterwards, I kid you not. Now my kids tend to get less but they do get a lot of mini chocolate eggs from the Easter egg hunts we set up every year. Now don’t get me wrong, my kids love to eat chocolate, like most other kids but when we have a lot of leftover chocolate Easter eggs, there are other things you can do with it.

I don’t know what it is about chocolate egg either, it just tastes so much better than anything other chocolate, even from a bar. This is totally psychological but it is so true!

I have to admit I’m not the best baker ever. My eldest daughter is pretty much aware of this but despite this we do try now and then together to make desserts and cakes. They usually don’t turn out too badly! Leftover chocolate from Easter is a great way to come up with some ideas for baking.

I asked some of my talented blogging friends for some of their ideas of how to use top leftover chocolate Easter egg.

Chocolate Bark

Chocolate Bark is one of my favourite things to make with any form of chocolate so I know any leftover chocolate after Easter egg would be perfect for this. I love bark, as a perfect combination

I’ve two chocolate bark recipes on the blog, both almost identical apart from the topping but they are so easy to make!

I don’t think there will be much left over chocolate this year but these are great ideas. I’ve said if there is any leftover I will be making brownies with it. Yum, yum x

Thanks for including my fudge. We have lots of small eggs left so I think we’ll be doing either a fridge cake or some cookies.

We’ve melted some down and made a fridge cake. Sometimes there is just too much chocolate!
