AD – My eldest’s hair is sooo long now. It’s hit that point where I am debating shaving it off, as I get that much moaning when I brush it. I don’t think she will let me, that’s for sure! When we were asked to review Pop Pop Hair Surprise, I thought it may make her brush her hair a little more, ready for testing them out! Ha, how naive was I.
I knew she would love them, as anything with “Surprise” in the name is always a hit and after watching a video on how Pop Pop Hair Surprise works, I was keen to see too.
More About Pop Pop Hair Surprise
Pop Pop Hair Surprise retail at £9.99 and are available at toy retailers like Smyths Toys.
You open the Pop Brush to find a surprise!! The brush handle becomes a spray bottle to spray the Pop Pod. You watch the surprise ‘pop’ open to reveal the Hair Roller, which you then unroll to discover an adorable Pop Hair Pet inside. Brush, plait, braid, and style the pet’s extra-long hair. Or wear as an accessory in your own hair for a funky new look. The pet can also be a pen topper.
Included are 4 hairbands and 2 hair clips to use on Pop Hair Pets or your own hair.
There are 4 different themes and over 25 characters to collect.
We were sent three of the Pop Pop Hair Surprises, so opened a couple, so we have some different pictures.
We took the wrapper off one and pulled out the Pop Pod which is inside the head of the brush character. The brush handle is a spray bottle.
Remember to fill the bottle with water! I hadn’t read the instructions properly and was spraying away and nothing was happening at all! Oops.
Once I had filled the bottle with water and we sprayed the Pop Pod, it popped open.
Inside was the the Pop Hair Pet and some accessories, hair bands and clips. I thought the Pop Hair Pet was really cool! I knew it would look great in my eldest’s hair.
We enjoyed opening the Pop Pop Hair Surprise. As with many toys available now, the thrill is opening them and the anticipation of what you are going to get.
I liked the Popping action and my eldest had a lot of fun with the spray after the toy was opened, spraying us and everything else she could find!!
The hair accessory is pretty cool. The day we opened it, she had a French plait, so decided to stick it on the end! It looked great! She enjoyed brushing and plaiting the hair too but did not use the provided accessories as much, I must say.
Price-wise, retailing at £9.99, I think this is pretty competitive with other surprise toys and you are left with quite usable things! A brush and a hair accessory, which can be used regularly. I’m aware of wastage sometimes with the collectables, if not played with much.
We enjoyed the experience of Pop Pop Hair Surprise and I think they will make nice gifts and one for Santa.

Ahh, gosh! My daughter would have loved these a few years ago! Fortunately, my two younger daughters aren’t at the age to appreciate them yet! If they were my bank account would be wiped! Haha!
Erin has seen these advertised. They look like a lot of fun.
My daughter would love this. My daughter is also quite bad with allowing me to brush her hair, so this would definitely help.
These look fun. I like that they can be clipped into hair. They aren’t bad price wise for something that could be a collectible too!
Oh wow these look like so much fun and great review, perfect Christmas present
