Rainbocorns Puppycorn Surprise – REVIEW

girl will new rainbocorns puppycorn surprise

My eldest is a huge fan of surprise toys and in particular loves Rainbocorns from Zuru Toys. She has bought a couple before and loves them. They are so colourful and cuddly and the surprise element always hooks her in! I knew when we could introduce her to Rainbocorns Puppycorn Surprise, she would be very keen. Both my girls love anything puppy or dog related since my Mum had a puppy over 6 months ago. They love her and anything doggy, reminds them of her.

I think they are trying to make me get a dog but this will not be happening.

Rainbocorns Puppycorn Surprise – What Are They?

Rainbocorns Puppycorn Surprise are a new collection of cute, cuddly puppies. There are 7 breeds to collect, including the Dachshund, Pug, Dalmation and Poodle. Also Labrador and Husky. There is also a rare “best in show” Bulldog.

What is fun about these Puppycorns is they have a unique scratch “n” reveal heart, which tells you what they really love. There are 7 layers of surprises including Boo-Boocorn Puppies, Scratch “N” Sniff stickers and new Puppycorn Magic Colour Mix Poop.

Rainbocorns Puppycorn Surprise retails at £10 and are aimed at children aged 5 years and over. I did let my 4 year old open one but she is very sensible! They are available at Smyth’s Toys.

Unboxing the Rainbocorns Puppycorn Surprise

My girls and I sat down to do the unboxing one Saturday morning, as usual when my little man was out of the house and not able to interfere too much.

It was pretty easy to open and get into the egg, with some quick cellophane removal.

My girls then revealed their Puppycorns! We were kindly sent three and the girls were super excited to get the rare Dotty.

We also revealed Trixie and Penny.

The girls scratched off their fronts and as you can see revealed what they love! You can see above this is a burrito and some watermelon. Bear in mind this bit can be a bit messy and the bits you scratch off do go all over the floor! We needed to get the vacuum out afterwards.

Revealing The Surprises!

The next fun part with the Puppcorns was revealing some of the surprises! We first opened the blue packet which contained the scented stickers! You get six and you need to scratch with a coin to smell them. However, the smell was quite strong without doing this.

The stickers are pretty cute!

The next surprise the girls revealed was the Boo-Boocorn Puppies! You can attach these to a keychain if you like. There are 50 different ones to collect. There are different breeds of these like Boo-Boo Poodles and Boo-Boo Huskies. These come in a pink egg. Little ones may need a bit of help getting the cellophane off!

Pretty lovely though.

The final surprise is the Magic Poop Slime! This comes in a packet and smells pretty amazing! You can mix this to make different colours. I also found it useful to store this in the pink egg the Boo-Boocorn comes in. It’s lovely and soft and my girls loved stretching it.

Our Thoughts!

The Rainbocorns Puppycorn Surprise went down really well with my girls and I enjoyed opening them too. I love a surprise toy and seeing what will be coming next!

Puppies go down so well with kids and the breeds are very cute. Most little ones love a reveal, so scratching off the front to see what their puppy loves is quite an exciting thing. As mentioned though, this can be a little messy.

Price-wise for the toy, I feel £9.99 is reasonable for the egg, puppy toy and the included surprises. The price is also very competitive with surprise toys on the market.

If you keep the eggs, there isn’t too much plastic waste but if not bear this in mind if plastic toys are not for you. My girls do tend to keep them for a while.

Overall these Rainbocorns Puppycorn Surprise went down well. They are cute, exciting and come with some really fun surprises!

I think they would make a perfect gift.

Thumbs up from up!

These look so cute! My grandson is 4 and he loves surprise toys and he’d probably love the puppies. I always keep the plastic eggs these things come in and they’re great for putting little chocolate eggs or small toys in for an easter egg hunt.

The puppies are so adorable and the surprises sound like such fun. The price is so reasonable too. I was expecting to hear they’d be much more expensive!

My girls love these! They always have them in tow! I am glad to hear I am not the only one who is continually being nagged to get a dog!

These look very cute, it’s nice there there are so many different elements to the surprise. I can see why your girls like them so much. Blind bags or surprise toys are so popular. Starting to wish they had things like this when I was a kid!

The puppies do look so much cute, I am sure my kids would love having these toys! I don’t usually buy any plastic toys, but I am sure I can find ways to use that egg!

The Puppycorn looks cute and lovely, and the price is reasonable as well. My daughter is an adult already. It can be a perfect birthday present for my friend’s daughter.
