What I’ve Loved in October | AD

Hard to believe another month has almost passed and we are hurtling towards November. You do say time flies as you get older and this is certainly very true. This is my favourite time of year with Halloween, Bonfire Night and my birthday approaching. I’m still surprised how warm it still is. I’ve not had to wear my warm coat yet! No need for hats and gloves either. It scares me the next month’s update will be getting closer to Christmas too!

As I write this we are just approaching the end of half-term which has been manic as usual and here are some of the things I have loved in October.

Shopping

I went on a lovely shopping trip with my mate earlier in the month. It was the first time I had been into Birmingham for a long time, a long time before Covid and of course not during. It was a little daunting as so busy but I loved it.

It was such good fun to browse, have no kids and eat out. I had such a good time and hope to go again soon at some point.

Running

I’ve still been really enjoying running since the end of my challenge where I ran 2 miles a day in September. I’ve been pushing my distances a little and signed myself up for a 10km with my friend later in November.

I love getting out, the fresh air and running with 2 friends makes it so much more fun, even in the early mornings when it is cold and raining.

Parent’s Evening

The girls has their first parent’s evening of the year during this month and I was so proud of them both. My eldest was told she was at quite a high reading level and my middley is doing so well in reception. I was really proud of them both and hope it continues for the rest of the year.

Meals Out

I’ve had some lovely meals out with friends this month, including a trip to Turtle Bay twice. I’m loving the food and good company with friends. Since there have been a few more freedoms after lockdown ended I’ve definitely been enjoying getting out and about a little more.

A Day With My Eldest

It doesn’t happen that often but my eldest and I had a lovely day together in half-term. We shopped, went to the cinema and ate out. It was really nice to have some quality time together.

New Clothes

I have chosen some great items from Femme Luxe this month and here we are:

I chose this Nude Fleece Oversized Long Sleeve Drawstring Cropped Hoodie from the Hoodie Collection. I chose a small, which is size 8-10. You can get this is sizes 6-14. Currently it retails at £10.99.

Next was this Black PU Faux Leather Long Sleeve Button Pocket Detail Blazer from the Blazers Collection. I chose a size 10 and this ranges from size 6-14. It currently retails at £22.99.

Finally I chose this Pink Check Print Oversized Button Up Pocket Shacket from the Shackets Collection.  I chose an extra small and it currently retails at £21.99.

Here we go November. Halloween will be over and some fun trick or treating done!

Let’s see what fun will come with the next month!
