GoGo SqueeZ Fruity Snack and Yogurtz – REVIEW

GoGo SqueeZ Fruity Snack and Yogurtz – REVIEW

AD – As parents we always have the dilemma of getting a healthy snack into our children but are often met with resistance from the child and the need to get something convenient and simple in for them. My kids are totally different. My eldest is a fruit dodger and prefers dairy snacks. If I’m lucky, I can get an apple down her now and then. My 1 year old is a complete fruit bat and will eat any fruit at the moment. She goes wild for it so snack time for her is a little easier. I was recently asked to review some new snacks from GoGo squeeZ and was very keen to give them a whirl.

Who Are GoGo SqueeZ?

GoGo squeeZ began in the States and has only recently come over to the UK. The mission is simple; to help families become healthier and happier. They have produced healthy snacks that come in pouches which can be re-sealed and are easily squeeZed to enjoy on the Go! They are also school compliant which makes them perfect for lunch boxes. You can purchase these from Tesco.

Fruit Snacks

The small 90g pouches come in 3 flavours: apple, apple and mango and apple and strawberry. They have no flavourings, no preservatives and don’t need to be stored in the fridge. They are also gluten free and suitable for vegetarians. There is no added sugar, they are 100% fruit and one of your 5 a day.

Yogurt Snacks

These 85g pouches all have no preservatives and also don’t need to be stored in the fridge, until they are opened. They come in strawberry and banana flavour and are a source of calcium and vitamin D. These are made from yogurt and fruit puree but there are little sugar added to these (which you do find in most yogurts).

Our Thoughts

Fruit Snacks

As I have to do an honest review, I will be honest! As expected my eldest was not keen. She doesn’t really like fruit and isn’t into fruit smoothies or anything similar, so I knew it would be a miracle if she liked the fruit pouches.

My baby girl was also not massively keen on sucking them. She did however, enjoy some squeezed onto her yogurt at tea time but I would not take them out with me for her. She definitely prefers the whole fruit and chomping away, which is preferable anyway.

From a parent and dietitian’s point of view, these Fruit Snacks are good. Pure fruit, convenient and one of your 5 a day. There is no messing around chopping fruit and pureeing so really easy. If my kids enjoyed them, I would buy and give them to them!

Yogurt Snacks

These on the other hand went down a storm with my eldest. She loved them. She is definitely more of a dairy-girl. I loved how I could put one in my pocket and take it on the school run. They are quite small and compact.

She can have one when she comes out of school, as is always hungry. They are perfect to keep her going before her tea.

I would always give the gremlin yogurt as a snack if I could but there are always the worries about keeping them cool. These GoGo squeeZ yogurt snacks completely solve this problem. I had a quick taste too and they are really nice and not too sweet. Her favourite was definitely strawberry.

Overall Thoughts

I was impressed with GoGo squeeZ and their products. They are healthy, convenient and although my girls were not keen on the fruit ones as much as the yogurt, I know tonnes of kids who love fruit will love these.

They tick many boxes for busy parents and I would recommend.

Disclosure – I was provided with this product in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
