AD – Love Hatchimals? The Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 Collection will be right up your street.
The gremlin has only recently got into “blind bags”. She watches the videos all the time on YouTube and not long ago my Mum treated her to some Hatchimals, which she loved! I think it’s that anticipation of seeing what is inside those little eggs and adding to her collection. When we offered the chance to review some of the new Hatchimal CollEGGtibles Season 3 Collection from Spinmaster, she was really excited!

More About Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3
The difference in this new season is each Hatchimal has a best friend, a twin or squad. There are 100 cuties to collect and you may end up hatching a pair of best friends and you can put them in special poses, like piggybacks, Hatch-fives and more. If you find a squad you can keep these little things close together. Hatch a set of twins and you’ll find two CollEGGtibles in one egg! My grem was the most excited about this prospect.

There are a variety of pack sizes available, perfect for the odd treat or a gift for a more special occasion.

3. Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 – 4 Pack which retails at £9.99
4. Hatchimals CollEGGtibles 2-Pack Cloud Egg Carton which retails at £4.99
5. Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 One Dozen Egg Carton which is amazing (!) and retails at £24.99.
They are aimed at children aged 5 years plus.
All come with a collectors map, apart from the 1 pack blind bag. I love looking at this and seeing the different ones to collect! There’s also information on the poses you can put the best friends in. You can find out which ones are rare and common or limited edition.
How Do The Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 Work?
You need to think Hold, Hatch, Play!
Each speckled egg has two hearts on the shell and you need to rub these. One heart turns from purple pink with the warmth of your hand and then you are simply able to push and crack the shell, to hatch the Hatchimal. I must admit I found this quite exciting myself! You have to peel away the shell to pull out your surprise or maybe surprises!!
I’m a complete Hatchimal newbie so my gremlin had to explain to me what to do. We received a variety of Hatchimal goodies and she decided to try the 1 egg blind bag first. She sat patiently rubbing the egg, telling me it had to go pink and was ready to hatch.
Then she hatched her first Hatchimal and was really thrilled to get twins! She seemed to find the hatching process quite easy for her first one but struggled a little with subsequent eggs and I had to give her a hand.
We then opened one of the 4 packs next and she was thrilled to get no matches and revealed some real cuties. I loved one the owl designs and was thinking I could perhaps steal it? It really took me back to my childhood, as I remember being obsessed with collecting things. POGs, TAZOs, cards and stickers. I would have been going insane for these Hatchimals.
What Else did we think?
Spinmaster have thought of it all this time allowing kids toreally become part of the Hatchtopia world. The Hatchimals have premiered their own digital webisodes that kids can watch with new magical places to discover. There is also a FREE app to explore further and play games including hatching new friends from Hatchtopia to build you collection further. Perfect for those kids besotted with these little creatures!

Overall Thoughts
I loved watching my eldest open these season 3 Hatchimal CollEGGtibles. They really capture the imagination of little ones and what I also like is she went upstairs with the ones she opened to play. I don’t think they are too badly priced, in comparison with other products on the market. I also like how each season seems to bring something new and original.
I can’t wait for her to open the rest of her Hatchimal Goodies.
I think Season 3 is going to be a hit!
