AD – Anyone who reads my blog and looks at my blog even, knows I love all things bright and quirky. Bright colours genuinely make me happy and if I can encourage that with my girls, then why not? When OOKs contacted me asking if I would like to review some of their new products, I was really keen, as knew my gremlin would like them. Their stuff is right up my street!
Who Are OOKs?
Originally OOKs started out as a App that made personalised children’s books. The books are made from your child’s personality and favourite things. Your child can choose the story and make it unique to them and are listed on the front as a co-author. Really cool and a fan way to encourage your child with reading and books.
OOKs have now branched out into some amazing merchandise – T Shirts, hoodies, mugs, hats and posters. They have some brilliant, bright designs that kids will love. Unicorns, mermaids, dragons and superheros. We were asked to review some of their products.
What Did We Choose?
The gremlin picked two fab items.
She went for a unicorn T, that said “Busy Walking my Unicorn”. This retails at £15.99. I love the bright design! These actually are available for both kids and adults. The size guide is in small, medium, large etc but there is a size guide that corresponds with age, so you can pick the right size.
The second item she picked was a mermaid, pink hoody. This retails at £29.99 and again you can choose the correct size, using the size guide.
I wanted to treat myself too and quite liked the mugs on offer. I went for was the “I’m Not Sleepy”, which retails at £9.99.
What Did We Think?
The gremlin was dying to try everything on but we waited until it actually was a bit cooler. I thought she may melt in her hoody.
One rainy Sunday we headed out for a day trip and she wore her new T-Shirt. It was a little big and she moaned about this for a bit but she got used to that after a bit. I’d picked a bigger size of course, as she is always growing!!
I liked the T-shirt, it felt of good quality and as I stated before, I loved the bright design; it’s original and fun.
She looked all festival ready in her little outfit! At £15 it’s not the cheapest T-Shirt out there but it’s original and the quality is worth it.
It hasn’t been warm enough for a hoody in forever (not that I’m complaining), so as it was rainy it was a perfect day. The hoody fit her well but I didn’t think the design printed on it was as vibrant as the T-Shirt. But she looked lovely. The hoody was warm and toasty for her and she loved wearing it around.
Again, I wouldn’t say this was the cheapest item to buy as £29.99 is quite a lot for a kid’s hoody but it is of good quality and likely to last.
I really liked my Mug; love the slogan, “I’m not sleepy, I’m just resting my eyes!” Definitely feels like me at the moment and I know this mug would make a perfect gift for a tired Mum or sleepy co-worker.
Overall, we all really liked the products from OOK; they are fun, original and will appeal to both kids and adults alike.
I do think some of the items are a little pricey but like most things, if you like them and happy to pay, then it’s not an issue. The clothes are of good quality and I feel would last! They are not something you can get on the high street either.
