AD – Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few months, you MUST have heard of the Baby Shark song by Pinkfong. It is pretty much a global sensation and has had over 2 billion views.
My youngest loves it and has taught me all the moves. To be honest I don’t mind it, as it makes little Piglet so happy when she sings it and it’s adorable when she does the actions. I must be out of my mind but hey!
So when we were offered the review of some new Baby Shark products from WowWee, I knew my youngest would be happy!
What did we receive?
Pinkfong’s Baby Shark Singing Plush
This toy retails at £15 and is aimed at kids over 2 years old. You can choose Mummy, Daddy or Baby Shark. It’s 25cm in height and if you press it it plays the well known song. If you press it again it goes quiet.
You can pick one up in the Entertainer and other toy stores.
Baby Shark Family Sound Cubes
These retail at £7. Again you can sing along to the Baby Shark tune, by squeezing to play and squeezing again to silence.
You can collect Baby Shark, Mummy Shark and Pinkfong.
Similarly available in the Entertainer.
What Did We Think of the products?
My youngest was told about these coming in the post and had mentioned them a few times.
They actually appeared when I was in labour at home with baby number 3, so I opened them for her and asked hubby to get a couple of pictures!!
She was so excited and took them away with her elder sister immediately. Phew for me!
She seemed to prefer the sound cube as could work that herself better. She had to ask for some help with the larger plush. My eldest played with that a little more. It was very simple for her to operate.
My youngest still had a listen and loved the toy playing one of her favourite songs.
I think for any children who love the tune you cannot go wrong with these products. They look like the video, they play the song and they belong to them! As a child, I always had to have the plush or doll of my favourite character at the time!
I quite like it too!
My youngest is just over 2 and needed some help squeezing the larger plush, so bear that in mind.
I also have to add it doesn’t play the song all the way through, so consider this with your child. Piglet didn’t seem to notice but other children may be disappointed.
Price-wise I think they are reasonable for what you are getting and they will make some Baby Shark-obsessed children very happy.
