Hatchimals Pixies – REVIEW

hatchimals pixies

AD – The gremlin is a huge Hatchimals fan and there was no surprise when I told her about new Hatchimals Pixies, she was keen to see what they were like. The gremlin has been lucky enough to review Hatchimals Hatchibabies and Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3.

I personally quite like Hatchimals too. I love the designs of the various little creatures and it is fun opening the eggs to see what is inside. If you are a person who likes to collect things, they are right up your street!

More About Hatchimals Pixies

Hatchimals Pixies have arrived in Hatchtopia! There are four different beautiful eggs to choose from and you could hatch a Pixie from Crystal Canyon, Polar Paradise, Wishing Star Waterfall or Glittering Garden.

Inside each egg you get a glam Pixie which have movable, glittery wings and a posable head. They have glittery hair and their outfits are inspired by their Hatchtopia Hangouts. Inside each egg you also get three accessories in a blind bag (which I know my girls will love!) You can store the accessories in the bottom of the egg and you get an included Pixie bed to display the Pixies.

As with all the Hatchimals you have to rub the Purple Heart until it turns pink and then it is ready to hatch!

Hatchimals Pixies are aimed at children aged 3 years and older and RRP at £7.99. They are another fun, exciting collectable from Spinmaster.

Testing Out the Pixies

I got both my girls involved with the testing of the Hatchimals Pixies but my youngest next sits still long enough for a photo.

We opening the Hatchimals to reveal the egg! They really are quite pretty and a good size.

The gremlin then rubbed her egg until the heart turned pink and her Pixie hatched! I had to help my youngest a little but she isn’t three yet. She was fully supervised at all times.

The girls opened their blind bags and had a look at their accessories. These were really cute things like a headband or or a mini treasure chest. It is easy to store them in the base of the egg and there is a plastic stand to put your Pixie on the display her.

There are 8 different Hatchimals Pixies to collect and my gremlin got Glittering Gracie and Piglet Crystal Cassie.

Our Thoughts on the Hatchimals Pixies

I thought these were a lovely little toy. I like the Hatchimal concept with the little eggs hatching a surprise for kids and I think at £7.99, this is a reasonable price and would be good for a birthday present idea.

The Hatchimals Pixies are easy to hatch and look really eye-catching. I like how they can be easily displayed so can be played with but sat out to look at too.

They girls enjoyed opening them and playing afterwards.

Bear in mind when hatching them, the egg shell can go everywhere so I did in the kitchen and cleaned up pretty sharpish. Also like most blind bag contents, the accessories are quite small and can get lost easily!!

Overall though, I was impressed. They are pretty toys, good fun to open and I feel will get played with more afterwards as are more like dolls; perfect for make believe games.

Thumbs up from us!
