My eldest will never turn down a L.O.L. Surprise! review and certainly not the new L.O.L. Surprise! Fuzzy Pets variety. We have done quite a few in the past including the L.O.L. Surprise! Pearl Surprise, the L.O.L. Surprise! Pop Up Store and the L.O.L. Surprise! Under Wraps. She is always on the hunt for a new variety to come out (and to be honest) I love them too. I know if I was a kid now, I would be obsessed too.
We were asked to review the new L.O.L. Surprise! Fuzzy pets range and of course my eldest knew what to do from the videos she watches online.
L.O.L. Surprise! Fuzzy Pets – More About The Product
The shampoo shaped L.O.L. Surprise! Fuzzy Pets bottle has 7 surprises to reveal. You get a L.O.L. pet included.
You actually use the shampoo bottle as a bath for your L.O.L. pet! Put them in the water to remove their fuzzy fur and show their true design. Pretty exciting!
Each L.O.L. Surprise! Makeover Series Fuzzy Pets pack contains a Fuzzy Pet covered in soft fur, a magic mirror, a secret message, a bottle, a pooper scooper, an accessory and an outfit.
They are aimed at children 3 years and over and RRP at £14. You can find them in The Entertainer, Smyth’s Toys and Argos.
L.O.L. Surprise! Fuzzy Pets Instructions
The L.O.L. Fuzzy Pets instructions were really easy to follow which was easy for us all. They come in a paper form with pictures. However, my eldest knew exactly what to do with her L.O.L. Surprise! Fuzzy pets and started opening immediately. Her baby sister had one too but bear in mind she is only 2 and a half. She definitely was a little young to get it but enjoyed being part of the experience with her sister.
My eldest opened hers and her sister’s to reveal two bottle shaped containers.
She then opened this to reveal the contents. Inside were blind bags, which they both ripped open. You can see my middley had a L.O.L. Surprise! Fuzzy pet, secret message, looking glass, drink bottle, accessory, sandbox, and a little pooper scooper. There was also a handle for the shampoo bottle.
The next task was to wash to L.O.L. Surprise! Fuzzy Pet. The instructions say you can make a pattern in the fuzz with a wet cotton bud but my eldest was way too keen on washing hers and her sister’s so we didn’t attempt that! You can though.
We put the handle on the bottle. You have to do this! My Middley didn’t want to and the water leaked through the holes everywhere, so bear this in mind.
I filled up the top of the bottle with warm water. My eldest then got washing.
Washing The L.O.L. Fuzzy Pets
The fuzz came off really easily. Once completed we drained the water from the container using the screw top on the bottom of it.
The fuzz is cleverly left in the container then like a sieve and you can wash it away.
You are then left with your pet but the fun is not over.
The pets all vary but there is some colour change aspect to most. You can place them in warm or cold water to see this but not all of them are the same.
Depending on what accessories they have come with; shoes or a lead or collar, you can then dress your pet.
The one in the photo above has a collar.
Finally you can open the sand tray, which my eldest was so excited to see, was kinetic sand! You did away to find more accessories hidden. Her baby sister got some shoes for her L.O.L. Surprise! Fuzzy Pet.
You can also give your pets water from the drink bottle, if they get one and they cry real tears and squirt the water from their mouth!
Our Thoughts?
I’m a true L.O.L. Surprise! fan so I thought these fuzzy pets were great fun. I always like toys that are activities for the girls and take a bit of time.
I would definitely say they are suited at 3 years and over my middley did not really understand the concept and wasn’t overly excited! She just enjoyed being with me and her big sister, doing an activity.
My eldest really enjoyed opening her L.O.L. Surprise! Fuzzy Pets and in particular she loved the sand, and played with that for a little while afterwards. This is quite messy though, so do at a table and be prepared to get the hoover out afterwards.
We did have some water spillages too, so stay at the table for your sanity!
Price-wise these are a little more expensive at £13 but you are getting 7 items to open and the sand at the end. They are competitive with other brands. I think the gremlin prefers the dolls to the pets but it depends what your child likes!
Overall L.O.L. Surprise! have created something new and original again and I think most die hard L.O.L. Surprise! fans will love them and revealing their pets.
