LOL Surprise! Movie Maker App – REVIEW | AD

The girls, my eldest in particular are huge fans of LOL Surprise! I am too actually. I love opening them and seeing what doll they have got and what style or accessories come too. We have been lucky in the past to review some fab products such as LOL Surprise! Fuzzy Pets and LOL Surprise! Under Wraps. They are always so fun to do with the girls; a bit of bonding time. My eldest has recently got into recording herself doing little shows and videos; she loves performing and it is great for her imaginative games. She usually ropes her sister in too and it’s a great way for them to spend some time together. So when I heard about the LOL Surprise! Movie Maker App, I thought it would bring two of her passions together.

You can share your movies with your friends by simply naming, saving and downloading. This is great, especially now as kids can’t get together.

Testing out the Movie Maker App

My daughter had already had a little play with the app on her own, so she had figured out what she needed to do! She was showing me more to be fair.

The app was easy to download and get started with. You can buy more coins and this allows you to unlock more. Just make sure you have a password on to avoid your kids buying lots without checking first.

My daughter and I explored the app. It’s quite straight forward. You can choose your characters, background and accessories to use for your movie.

The camera sign gets you ready to record your movie! You cab have music chosen or it records you voice.

You drag the characters and their accessories around when filming, so it looks like they are moving around. My eldest loved making up little stories and dialogues and getting all embarrassed when we watched them! I think she would love doing with her friends in the future.

My daughter loved getting the new LOL Surprise! balls to open. We revealed new characters, accessories, backgrounds for her movies and even some music. Kids love that surprise element and she was so excited!

Overall Thoughts

We really enjoyed playing on the LOL Surprise! movie maker app. It was simple and easy to work. My daughter at 7 didn’t need any instructions or help and she was well on her way making movies.

It’s bright and colourful and my eldest loved bringing her characters to life and making up scenes. She was so excited when the new balls were opening to give her new characters, accessories, music and background.

The app is free and it is possible to really have some good fun making movies, without having to pay anymore. My daughter however, was nagging my hubby so bear that in mind.

I think for kids to make movies and send to each other would be lovely, especially in the times we are in now. It is so much harder to get together with friends and let your kids have their usual playdates.

Overall we enjoyed playing with the LOL Surprise! movie maker app. It can be played offline, so great for cars or journeys, is free and keeps your kids busy.
